And ya can't get ice cream cones. T'ain't no sin to take off yer skin, and dance around in your bones.
It's gonna be in the mid-90's and humid where I'm at. The thought of pipe smoking does not sound exactly pleasurable. Anyone else put away the pipe when it gets hot? I may wait until around 9:30 tonight.

If my only option was outside I would. I have in years gone by for that very reason.

I enjoy a pipe year round. If indoors I open a window in my bedroom. With my health issues now if the temps are above 75 I need to be in the shade and above 85 I’m indoors. However, I prefer smoking outdoors even in cold weather as long as it’s above freezing. Cold weather I can tolerate.

I'm the opposite...I get the pipe OUT when it gets hot. But hot for Ireland is 60s not 90s. If it was me, I'd probably wait until late in the evening or early morning.

I like outside until it gets about 75°, but would prefer it around 50°. Moving from England to Galveston with no air conditioning and mowing lawns all day was like moving to hell itself.

I don't have the option to smoke indoors, so I guess this would only pertain to those in the same situation. I need an outbuilding...

For under $450.00 you can also install thru a wall an a/c with a heat pump. Back in NY I know a smoker that has a nice set up in a 12’x14’ wood shed..nice Lazyboy and TV/stereo. He’s far from suffering with the peace and quiet.

I was going to suggest what lonecoyote said... mini split units are pretty easy to install, and do not use a lot of energy. Working for a freight company, I have delivered many...haven’t done my homework on differing brands.
I am not sure what is going on with the website, but when I posted a YouTube link to split unit A/C installation, it posted the long “we have our monkeys working on it/ Internal service error[i/]

You bet 👍 For under $1,200 if your handy you can purchase a split unit that would last for many years. Look at the Mitsubishi, Samsung and Fujitsu units. My closest friend from NY son does this for a living and uses the brands I mentioned. PS I spanked that monkey until he fixed the problem !

I have lofty goals of a potbelly stove in it for the winter. Unfortunately, out of my price range right now. I was just kinda laughing to myself about trudging out to the backyard to my Rubbermaid shed/sweatbox.

Ouch! Anything 15Celsius and below is FREEZING to this desert lizard. I never refrain from smoking in the heat. I do notice that I do smoke less in the heat though, and then mainly Burleys.

I'm lucky enough to be able to smoke inside. On the other hand I don't know Celsius so y'all are confusing me.I work outside year round so temps aren't a consideration, rain though will run me inside.

I can smoke inside if I like, though in the summer especially, I prefer to be sitting out on my patio. Up until recently though, during the heat of the day, or summer rain, it wasn't possible. I finally got my toy after 2 years of waiting. One of the best investments we made. Before...
And after...

Thank You. At that temp give me an axe and a tin of EMP and I'm good all day. That's working weather.I dig ditches in ice storms.Get more done that way.Trim trees and cut lawns in 95+.Only thing stops the work is rain and running out of tobacco. The former is debatable.

Smoke inside most of the time, because that is where my books and music is. Outside sometimes though, weather permitting.

In Houston we stay inside with the AC. The only places that I know to really escape from the heat are in the mountains like Los Alamos, or Ireland. Maine is too humid for multicellular life to exist. Most of the rest of the country is not enough better than Houston to make it worth moving. Upper California coast has nice weather, but also viscous, wild Californians.

It's been over 90 here for a while, 95+ the past couple of days. Those extra 5 degrees seem like 20 with the humidity here. I prefer cold weather, I'm originally from Michigan. I even went up to Massachusettes a few years ago during the terrible blizzards and worked.
I do construction and remodeling so heat is just a normal part of life for me in South Georgia. My pipe smoking lately has been pretty much in the mornings, or in the late afternoon. If the itch needs scratches, I'll grab a cop. Load it up and work in the garden. If I have to sit in the heat to enjoy my pipe, I might as well accomplish something while I'm at it.
Project for the weekend is adding an exhaust fan in the gable of my small work shed. Right now in the middle of the afternoon you could probably dry meat to make jerky in there.

Justin, is that a sunsetter awning?
When I lived in California, (1990’s)I put one up over my deck, and it really made it better. The drawback on mine was it was so large, 25 feet or so that some breezes would lift the canopy, and there was enough slack in the support arms that it would sound like a banging inside the house.
I could never leave it up if I left the house for fear of what would happen, at one point a leg did bend, not rendering it useless though.
Hoping that they have a way to mitigate that problem...it does appear that yours has more buildings to protect it.

As my smokes are typically outside in the evenings after work, when it's above 110, I'm a choir boy.
Another reason to get up early in the morning, I guess.
