The coolest lucid experience I had with a dream would be when I dreamed I was playing guitar for Black Sabbath. It became kind of lucid at one point as I went from being nervous about messing up to flawlessly playing songs I had never learned in real life. As I played the songs Iron Man and Paranoid I forced myself to look at my hands and visually confirm how I played them. In that instant my subconscious showed me how to play the two songs. When I woke up I knew the riffs from both. haha I know this sounds insane, but it isn't that incredible. I was playing a lot of guitar at that time (teenage years) so subconsciously I knew where every sound and note came from on the guitar and to be honest, they are not complicated bits of music, so it was simple to make that connection. But it was great when I woke up and went straight to fleshing them out on my guitar and my stepmother peaked into my room before leaving for work and said "You're playing Ozzy!" and I said, "Yeah... I learned these songs in my dream last night." The look on her face hahaha That is freakin awesome!!

Try Valerian Root before bed sometime ... things can get whacky! If you brew Valerian root tea in the house and you have a roommate or significant other, you may find yourself homeless.

Most of my dreams are meaningless, just the brain cleaning out the day's trash. I can redirect a bad dream, and my last job was a dream anyway. I did have a dream about one of my old, lousy jobs, and I hung around know that I didn't have to take any crap, so a nightmare turned into a good dream. I had a bowl dream about rafting on the Guadeloupe River and I fell out of the raft and drowned. I remember looking up at the light through the bottom of the raft. The next day it happened exactly like the dream, except I didn't drown. At least not in this reality.

Anyone have any, (ahem), pipe dreams?
I had a dream once where I dropped my lit pipe inside my jacket. My startled reaction woke me up.

I told my 8 year old son about it when he woke up. He looked at me with nothing less than confusion on his face.
Oh well. I tend to have strange dreams most of the time, but nothing like that.
My favorite ones are the ones that make me wake up and have me breathing heavy out of absolute fear. Strange maybe, but I like that feeling. Same with the "fear" that you feel with a good horror movie.

I have many dreams about former jobs, of which I had many. Even if they are screwed up I enjoy seeing some of the people I worked with. I drove a local truck for a while and some of my dreams are in the dangerous neighborhoods I delivered to. I liked those neighborhoods.
One recurring dream I had was that I get a letter saying my HS Diploma was revoked and I had to go back to have a couple more classes. These were less enjoyable. I figured the reason was because my four years at HS straddled the change in the credit system. The principal told me I could go with either system. I got to game it and could have graduated early, with a D average. I decided to stick it out as I loved my first and last periods so much that school became enjoyable for the first time in my life. I raised my GPA up to a C-. I got kicked out of the street gang for doing so well.

As a kid I saw the original Moby Dick movie, with Gregory Peck.
I was probably too young. The movie set some of my brain registers that I cannot unset.
I have had recurring dreams about being stuck in a storm at sea, so much so that in the dream itself i recognize it and say to myself "here we are again".
I also have a fascination for all things nautical, fiction and non fiction, art and objects. It is probably not unrelated that most of the tobacco I like has a picture of a ship on it.
I'm a mess.

Though not lately, I went through a recurring storm at sea, trying to cling to the coastline on the other side of the world, hoping to swim back to the USA. The downpour was realistic as all get out

I rarely sleep and when I do, I don't remember a damn thing except wanting to go outside and smoke a bowl at 2, 3 and 4 am. 😎

In the past 7 plus years since becoming ill I don’t sleep much, therefore not that many dreams! Prior I had many dreams being back in my high school years, always getting into some type of trouble or playing the drums once again in a band I belonged too...” The Sound Barriers “. The Friday night drum battles at CBGB’s in Greenwich Village (the Bowery ) in NYC. Had persistently reoccurring dreams of being able to fold my legs like “ Genie “ and while in the sitting position being able to fly in and out of traffic on the highways. Also a few dreams of being shot either in the head ( woke up with a headache ) or shot in the stomach ( woke up with stomach cramps ).......some weird dreams!!!

I grew up in Oklahoma, Kansas and Texas. I have tornado dreams every once in a while as a result. They are pretty entertaining. I ate a bunch of Indian food yesterday and had a lot of dreams last night. I was dreaming about coming out from work to the parking lot and finding my truck had been plowed into a pile with a bunch of other wrecked cars after a snowstorm. It was a truck I haven't owned in 30 years and my place of employement was a weird hodgepodge of current and former jobs and for some reason the church we attended when I was in high school. Indian and Thai food always gives me strange dreams that I can recall in some detail.
