Good morning, you all. First smoke of this hot and humid week; Blue Capstan in a reg.no. 1950s Stanwell no. 4-34 - de Luxe.
Yesterday I opened that 80 year-old tin of 'Sweet Chestnut' and even though the lead seal was intact, the vacuum wasn't. The tobacco has now been transferred to a glass jar with moist tissue paper in the lid and I just wait ...and wait.

Jesper, sorry you could not enjoy that tobacco on your special day. From the looks of the picture the tobacco looks extremely hard as well. Hopefully it will rehydrate in a short period of time properly, good luck 👍

Jesper, sorry you could not enjoy that tobacco on your special day. From the looks of the picture the tobacco looks extremely hard as well. Hopefully it will rehydrate in a short period of time properly, good luck 👍 Thanks, Ted. The tobacco was bone dry and even if I tried to remove it very carefully, some of it did crumble. Maybe it'll rehydrate in time for my father's 111th birthday in late August.

Full moon over the lake playing light tricks this morning. Not a breath of air just humid and 80 degrees and the sun wont pop for another hour. Black Point in a Geppetto apple. Coffee is Seattle's Best Post Alley cant beat the price 3.49 for 20oz of beans with a coupon. No sugar or cream this morning going to the dairy a little later when the Chihuahua decides to wake up from sleeping on my foot. Wishing everyone a great day.

It's the woman in the profile pic but is it Lady Margaret or just a pic of a model? Right-clicking on the image and doing a google search came up with Eva Green as Alma Lefay Peregrine (from Miss Peregrine's home for Peculiar Children). I may be wrong though... www.imdb.com/title/tt1935859/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_6
