Worked from my home office (mancave) all day. Found my way to the clubhouse and joined the fellas for the "Mens Night Out" round of golf. Teams of 4 playing a 9 hole scramble.
Despite the on again and off again rain we've been having daily, we dodged the raindrops and had a great round. I tell you all of this to say that my team won! Woohoo. ;-)
After dinner with Blondie and watching a movie on Amazon Prime I've found my way up to the cave and am having my first pipe of the night.....
HU's Fayyum in my Edwards Straight Billiard.
Glenrothes in the glass

Andullo in a Gabrieli bulldog. I see you also enjoy this hidden gem, it’s been a sleeper for 2 years. For me it’s one of the 3 top Lane tinned tobacco’s I really enjoy smoking. I’ve had the pleasure of smoking the Dominican and Brazilian, Lane is running close! A superb fermented 2 year aged blend ( before tinned ) in palm leaves with superb quality cigar leaf......the best of both worlds come together 👍

Good morning, you all. First smoke of this, supposedly hottest day of the summer; McConnell's 'Pure Orient' in a GBD Club. My Oriental Tobacco Keeper, Qasim al-Quim, is off on holiday, doing what Eunuchs probably do when they're on holiday; sightseeing and having an early night.

How do you find this compared to the Erinmore Flake of the eighties.? Just before Christmas last year I bought a tin from the same year and I found that it was a far cry from the Erinmore Flake of old. Nothing left of that, er, distinctive aroma and taste; it tasted more like STG's bland version.
The 2004 is still a decent smoke with the amount of age, but does not compare to the much older blend. Oh, the newer release within the past few years might be decent in 15 years but it’s lacking flavor and depth now! Just leave it to STG, once they get their hands on a great tobacco that’s been around for years, they will screw it up somehow, using much cheaper quality leaf! NOTHING LIKE THE OLDER SQUARE TINNED ERINMORE FLAKE👍👍👍 It's hardly a general trait of STG screwing up tobaccos; in the case of Erinmore Flake, it seems that Murray did a fair job of it themselves before they shut down production in 2005.
Now all I'll have to do is get hold of a tin from the eighties.
