We moved to Bend, Oregon on October 17 of 2017. Our home is 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, with attached garage. The guest room is where I placed my pipe tobacco's and accessories for the upcoming Zombie Apocalypse. Since this time, the room has developed a pleasant aroma from the tobaccos (you know what I mean). While on the road with others today, traveling over to Eugene, I receive a text from the wife stating, "I received a text from Mary, and they want to come up this weekend" (They being Mary and her husband from beautiful Lemoore, CA). Now, my wife and I had been wanting to get this guest room together for a future visit, and now would be the perfect time (instead of sitting around on our butts and vegetating about it). Nothing like having an impromptu visit to get you motivated and squared away. I sent a text to my wife, indicating that I would move my "supplies" out to the garage (aka ManCave or my personal effing space). She texted back stating, "You should just move it into my office next door." Knowing that my "supplies" would eventually "overwhelm her sense of smell," I texted her and indicated that I will just go ahead and move the "anti-Zombie ordinance" to the garage. This way, I do not have to move it "twice" (Yes, great idea I had), and I did make the move once I got home this evening too. My documentation for your review... Here are four drawers packed with various weaponry and ordinance: Another angle: The empty chest of drawers: And now, everything in place: The top two shelves of the gun cabinet. You have to keep all of your ordinance close at hand dammit Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday pipers (some of you are already into your Wednesday routine). Time for me to hit the sack, because I have to do it all over again for a big drive tomorrow

Looks like it wasn't as much work as I would have imagined. I was waiting for the line that said that your wife noticed just how much you had to move and now you're in trouble.
I have 1 drawer of a bedside table in my office that I use for my supplies, but even that makes my office smell fantastic... Well, to me it smells fantastic.

MarkinOR.........really nice stock of tobacco’s you’ve accumulated.....good for you.....Smart man! Do you keep your tobacco’s in the garage year round? What about change of temperature and humidity levels? Enjoy your drive, be safe👌👍
PS That’s about a 2 year supply for JimInks, he’s actually the first I’ve seen that smokes more blends in a 24 hour period than me!

I dread moving my stuff one day. Yeah, this was the second move. First move was 3 large boxes of pipe tobacco's and 4 coolers of cigars from Valencia, CA to here, and then the unpacking of the pipe tobacco's into the chest of drawers. The second move has been to the garage (and will be the last). MarkinOR.........really nice stock of tobacco’s you’ve accumulated.....good for you.....Smart man! Do you keep your tobacco’s in the garage year round? What about change of temperature and humidity levels? Enjoy your drive, be safe👌👍 PS That’s about a 2 year supply for JimInks, he’s actually the first I’ve seen that smokes more blends in a 24 hour period than me!Temperatures in the garage during Winter have been around 48-53*F (9-12*C) to Spring/Summer between 60*-72* (16-22*C). Being inside the cabinet and chest of drawers I feel gives the pipe tobacco's a bit more insulation and darkness away from any light. Humidity for the pipe tobacco's I'm not worried about as they are all sealed in their tin's or Kerr jars. The cigar coolers have been maintaining an internal temp around 64-67*F/63-64%RH. I have 1 pound of HCM beads in all of the coolers to maintain a decent relative humidity. Kind of overkill with the beads, but it keeps the humidity in the area I want. This is where I purchase the beads from: www.cigarbeads.com/default.aspx#Top

Very nice. Glad to see you have something to smoke, as well as something to "smoke" the zombies with.

If Mary and/or her husband serve at Lemoore NAS, thank them for their service.
Lemoore isn’t such a bad place, I just never cared for the Central Valley of Ca.
Now Oregon.... now we are talking beautiful!

That’s a great collection you have. It’s to bad they couldn’t stay in a hotel.😁 Staying in a hotel is the best solution for all overnight visitors. When family and friends come to see me with plans of staying overnight we put them up in a local hotel. I’ll pay for one stay per year for each visitor. Afterwards they’re on their own. Oh, they need to leave my home by 9:00 PM each night. I’m getting old, grumpy, and somewhat intolerant of having my routine interrupted. As for my tobacco it would take a full day with two men working feverishly to pack it up and move it. Needless to say I don’t plan to move until they carry me out on a stretcher with a blanket or sheet pulled over my head. AJ

Good on you, Mark. I see you have adopted some of that Oregon Pioneer Spirit there on the frontier.

Space for ordnance or tobacco - I don't think I could make that choice. I'd be stymied. That's it, time to buy another safe, and you just gave me the excuse I needed. Now to sell it to the Mrs.

That’s a great collection you have. It’s to bad they couldn’t stay in a hotel.😁 ...and made me wonder why I didn't go for that 4 bedroom home too... Where's the Five Brothers? I don't need no stinkin' Five Brothers David Space for ordnance or tobacco - I don't think I could make that choice. I'd be stymied. That's it, time to buy another safe, and you just gave me the excuse I needed. Now to sell it to the Mrs. Always glad to help David. Although, I agree with AJ about taking her out to dinner
