TDPS says: From one of the fathers of the freehand shapes: Erik Nørding, Denmark. A wonderful and colourful Danish made Freehand shape with a special printed foil wrapped around the bowl. The heat resistant foil is warmed up and then attached to the bowl. The technique is inspired from the art of Decoupage. The pipes are here: www.nordingpipes.com/index.php/2014-07-02-10-28-19/pipes/freehand/18-uncategorized/47-harmonyThe few available here on the Dark Continent sold very quickly and they do seem to sell well elsewhere as well. Would I buy one? ...I really don't know...

Pretty cool if you asking me. I would buy one, not sure if I would smoke it very often.

I think they look interesting enough that I would buy on. It appears to me that they are using the Signature series pipes and dressing them up. I have a signature and love The way the pipe colors over time is very cool but I have no idea how that coloring may affect the wrap, if at all.

I believe if memory serves me right that Chacom did this awhile back also with a marble looking application. Not sure if it was done the same way because it would wear but, attractive to a point just the same. I reckon it's one way of dealing with a unattractive piece of briar instead of wrapping it in leather or painting it a solid color.

It's certainly a different approach to masking flaws etc. I like the concept. Tell you what, if JimInks designed a comic strip (or the like) decoupage for a Briar Patch POTY I would definitely buy it.

Interesting yes, would I purchase one.......nope! I wonder what’s under all that decoupage!! Would the finish ever bubble if the briar gets to hot? I had 2 hand painted pipes with landscape and flowers painted on both. They were gifted many years ago to a friend that was a non-smoking Artist. She still has them today on display in her china closet. Too pretty and fancy to smoke👍

It’s time you get yourself a few good briars. Tell your wife...no briars for me...no new shoes or make-up for you. That’ll do it every time👍

I believe I have gotten too set in my old grumpy ways. The only difference in color on a pipe, that I find acceptable, is the difference in color of the wood grain. For my personal use I wouldn’t buy one.

A couple of the French companies have been doing interesting things with hydrographics. Carbon fiber, brushed metal, etc.

I had 3 Paronelli Color Pipes and they all bubbled and peeled within 2 years. I had to strip them to bare briar. Interestingly, though the briar was quite plain, they had no fills. The Nording may age differently and they have been on the market for awhile now. I would also add in passing, that all Nording Free hands from $69.00 up to a couple of hundred $ all seem to smoke the same. That was my experience with Nording Free hands and I now have one.

Sutliff Chocolate Truffle in a Peterson 1998 Limited Edition gold plated Spigot. Iced tea on the side. I know that I smoked this pipe twice in a row, but it just smokes just so darn good.

I was all set to hate them and zoomed in on the middle one, and it wasn't random colors, but sheet music and scroll work. Dammit, I would absolutely buy that one; I think it's cool. I'd like to get a pianist to play it and see if it was a real piece. This? No, Chopin. Prelude in Em. I could see Margaret smoking this one:
Maybe.

Darn you! I didn't need to see that, lol. Beautiful! I think my husband would kill me.
