I almost went with some Pegasus tonight @walkman , but decided to go with the E.Tilbury instead in the Comoy Riband 182 as we speak. Some Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale is my drink Some Celebration Ale!? That's a relatively old-a$$ ale at this point. Yeah! 2017 vintage Have a couple of bottles still sitting in the frig. You should see the yeast chunks floating around with the carbonation though

Good morning, you all. First smoke of this week; McConnell's 'Pure Orient' in a Kingsway G2, no. 630. The name 'Kingsway' was registered by Kyringe Pibefabrik with the Danish Trade Name Office on the 2nd of September 1950 for tobacco pipes and all tobacco wares. I think that Poul Nielsen had high hopes for this brand as he had a deluge of logos registered, but eventually settled for the crowned 'K'. Maybe he wanted it to be up there with his other brand 'Stanwell'; I don't know for how long 'Kingsway' was produced, but eventually it disappeared. I have two 'Kingsway' pipes, they are excellent smokers and I'm on the lookout for more. As can be seen, the 630 is identical to the Stanwell no. 30.

Last smoke of the day is year 1936 Briggs Mixture in a 1977 straight black rusticated Sir Brent billiard with a silver band repair and a brown pearl grey acrylic stem. Suzy and Molly are fed, and snoozin' now.

...I love a pipe bowl with thick walls--they always smoke cooler. I am sorry to say I have been looking at this R. C. Sands pipe. And unfortunately it is still available out there to tempt me. What to do? You know the correct answer. Do post a picture, when you've received it.

HH old dark fired in a hand carved pear pipe. First bowl of this that I've tried. Really enjoying this! 'Old Dark Fired' is a great tobacco and so is their 'Bold Kentucky'.

Just completed a bowl of Fusiliers Ration Reserve in the RC Sands 1/8 Bent Large Smooth Saddle Apple, with a glass of ice water on the side... Now its time to gather up the dogs and go for our second walk of the day. Back later after completing a couple of chores and dinner Oh my that is beautiful. Not only the grain, but the "heft" of the whole package. I love a pipe bowl with thick walls--they always smoke cooler. I am sorry to say I have been looking at this R. C. Sands pipe. And unfortunately it is still available out there to tempt me. What to do? I agree, there's something about a thick-walled pipe that I love. I may buy a Mr. Brog one some time. It's about all I could afford at the minute.

Perplexed as to what to do with my CB Grape, I added 1/4 pouch to 1lb. of Double Down, looking to impart some sweetness. It ruined it and was tossed out. Why did you chance a whole pound? You could have mix a little bit on the side first and saved the pound. "always add acid to water, never water to acid"

Just in from smoking some Piccadilly from 2009{bragging} in a Micoli freehand made by a demented dentist like the guy in Running Man. Brewing a nice espresso and defrosting two heart attack ribeye steaks for dinner. Already cleaned up the little Old Smokey and placed 9 Stubbs briquets inside. Almost noon and still very nice outside only 77 that's a cold front in Houston this time of year. Ok the espresso machine stopped making noise got to go. Everyone have a happy day.
