I know other people have noticed, but I am concerned that david is MIA. I haven't read everything on the forum, but if there is news please post it. I just answered some messages from him. Though I didn't notice how recent they were sent.

2003 ps lnf in the Jellings blasted bulldog with a saddle stem. H2o with bergs and a pooch by my feet. Wondering when david will reemerge. Stormy evening that so far has helped settle the humidity some. One of my neighbors lost an old barn to some straight line winds today. Another lost the entire top of a maple. I spent all day at a customers out of the area so don't know bad the storms really were.

Gurgle Gurlge. Haha It's so humid out that my tobacco won't dry on the porch. Going to have to switch to some OTC Burley blends.

Decided to show my monstrous jar of Carter Hall a little love. What can I say? You all know the CH. Having fun smoking it with some frosty tall boys.
Listening to the cicadas and an audiobook. 'Guns, Germs, and Steel.'. Not usually a non-fiction kind of guy, but my first degree was in anthropology, so it's geeky enough for me.

...more Molto Dolce in another Falcon, this one a modern version with a Hunter Dover bowl... 'bergs 'n water again... Aren't those the odd pipes with the metal stems? They're neat enough looking but if I were caught with one in Bangkok I'd definitely go to jail! Even briars are viewed with suspicion.

After that Burley Binge, I decided to go heavy. 1792 Flake. They say the sense of smell is most connected to memory and I tend to agree. Beef jerky and gun oil. When I smoke this blend, I'm twelve years old. Hanging out with Gramps in the little mudroom/mancave he had behind the boiler room of his hotel when I was a kid. Dead-tired from a day of hunting. wind-burnt and soaked through. Seinfeld on the 13" tv as we hang our wet gear up to dry next to the boiler and sit down to oil our guns and plan the following day's hunt. I can just smell the supper grandma has going. Maybe spaghetti with big, fat meatballs or homemade soup. I may be a sentimental fool and a bit drunk, but my favourite pipe tobacco seems to be a real enabler for these memories. Haha. I think that's what keeps me smoking.
Anyway. Last smoke for me. I'll be around, though. I have some catching-up to do on missed threads.
Happy trails and pleasant smokes.
