My last bowl wasn’t quite doing it. I didn’t sense any of it’s usual flavor and/or taste. I put the pipe down, attended a meeting and am now using the delayed gratification technique. HU Dockworker in a Larsen trumpet with an acrylic stem. I tamped it tight, and am taking more time between puffs. It’s slightly better. I think this smokes best in a narrow bowl. It’s not awful, i just have higher expectations. Of the 3 HU flake I've tried, Dockworker & Sunset are OK, but I wouldn't reorder them. Haymaker is the front runner and I'd order that by the pound, were it available stateside. I like Haymaker a lot too. Dockworker is a complicated burley (but I like it) and the jury is still out on Sunset.

Germain Special Latakia Flake from 2006, rubbed out well and letting it sit in a tobacco tray for about an hour. A bit moist for my liking.
Pipe of choice: my Ardor Giove Dublin ( DR )👍

Good evening, you all. An early late-evening smoke; Red Orlik in a Jensen no. 08; a Georg Jensen made solely for the US market. Lucky you US residents. It's an excellent smoker and lucky me, because I got hold of one.

Jesper, you are the only one I know who has a Georg Jensen pipe. I have one from the early 50's that is a bent author shape...is a fantastic smoker...one of my absolute best. Anyone else have a Georg Jensen pipe?
