I love my Comoy's - they belonged to my dad and form my core rotation. One I've dedicated to Va-Ors, the rest are Latakia pipes which is what my dad smoked. They're all pretty much the same - basic pot shapes, from mid-range lines like Sunrise and Academy Award. Well-used and well-loved. I hope you get the same joy from yours!

Is there a real difference in quality between the pre- and post-Lane era for Comoy? That is who bought them out, wasn't it?

They broke in and stole the pipe, several photos, a half-smoked cigar, several USB drives, and some of my mail. Very very bizarre. It did not happen again after that. |

That is a beautiful pipe, congratulations Pre-80’s Comoy’s much higher quality oil cured Algerian briar.....the Comoy’s that were made from the late 60’s and prior are superb smokers👍👍. Comoy’s produced seconds under many different names. |

I've got a Comoy pebble grain prince in route. Will be here Thursday. To replace a old Sasieni 4 dot I had years ago.

How does one post a pic in the thread? My Comoy arrived today? This will get your pictures on the Patch....easy instructions......works with any mobile device or computer...... I use an app on my iPad called Imgur....for file sharing. Save your photos on Imgur in your profile. Easy to upload photos from your photo library on your mobile device or computer. Keep your pictures hidden as opposed to public when uploading to Imgur. Tap the photo you saved within your profile on Imgur and tap copy link. Now tap the picture tab above ( it’s located bottom row, directly under the italic tab. Clear http:// out completely using your backspace key. Put the cursor in the Image URL box and paste the link. Click insert once you make sure the cursor is below the text within your thread. I find Imgur is best for file sharing. Photobucket now charges an exorbitant fee!!! You can also use your browser on your mobile device, PC or Mac to login to Imgur. |
