While the lure of a all electric world sounds intriguing the environmental Impacts of making batteries far exceeds that of conventional methods. Old number 3 Li is some very nasty stuff. Amazing how the media and most politicians continue to ignore this fact. Lithium's favorite thing to do is burst into flames. It is pretty nasty material to put into a landfill.
Solar panels can also be pretty vile as well. Most of them are produced in China with no environmental safeguards on the manufacturing process. By the time a solar panel reaches the end of it's lifespan, it's environmental footprint is about the same as if the power was produced at a coal-fired power plant.

We get our high speed internet (300 mbps) from the cable tv company Spectrum. Pay something like $79 or so a month. A couple of years ago they came out with a Spectrum TV App for Roku. I think we pay $6.99 a month for 250 ish channels, many of which are HD. Admittedly many of them are repeats, so we probably get around a hundred or there bouts of different channels. Funny thing is that I personally hardly ever watch it because I've grown so accustomed to not having to sit through any commercials. One nice thing about the app is the On Demand feature for many of the current shows current season. Blondie takes advantage of this on several shows, I only seem to use it to watch Suits. We also get all of the cable news channels but I usually only watch Fox Business, don't really care to hear the shrill voiced rhetoric coming from the others.

Within the next 6 to 10 years we will see new cars that have 300+ mile ranges, charge in 15 minutes and will cost less than $20,000! And this will be for a new car! $20,000? I'd be interested to know your source for that number.

Current costs of Lithium Ion batteries for Tesla are somewhere around $200 per kwh. This means that it costs around $20K for a 100 kwh battery in the P100D.
With the costs of production of these batteries averaging a 16% reduction in cost per year for the last few years, one can extrapolate that that the $200 per kwh battery today will cost around $31 per kwh in 10 years. that means that the 100 kwh battery will be around $3,100.
Seba has predicted a $12,000 car with a 200 mile range around 2023 or so, a little more extrapolation gets us to the 300 mile range car for under $20K.
