My favorite pipe is...
...a MM Polished Morgan cob, an old friend that won't wear out...
...a Comoy's Prince, which has, to my eye, an elegant beauty.
A WO Larsen Handmade, an unexpected gift from Valerie.
A vintage Falcon and bowl, for the elegant utility.
The new (to me) pipe that is in the mail.
Most of all, my favorite pipe is the one that I'm smoking right now.
Good smokes, my friends!

To be honest, I am pipe fickle and it can change monthly. I do have a couple dozen pipes I collectively refer to as my Top 10.

My favorite pipes are those given to me by my friends:
Several Comoy’s, including a Blue Riband, from Walt. They’re Comoy’s!
A handmade paneled billiard by and from Ted. Expertly made, a really great pipe!
An Edward’s billiard from Mike. A flawless beauty!
A GBD 335 International with black plateau from Michael. Very rare!
A 1978 Christmas Comoy’s from John. A special gift from a most generous man!
A Design Berlin Junior from my Wife. First pipe she bought for me.
Gifts from special friends and loved ones are to be treasured. As much as I value these pipes it’s their friendship and love that I treasure above all.

My top 25 or so pipes are like children. It wouldn't be fair to pick favorites. Suffice to say I have a lot of very good pipes.

The first one I ever bought. I plan to keep it until I die. I smoke it once in a while, but don't travel with it any more. I would be upset if I lost it after having it for 38 years.

Now you've gone done and did it! ;-) If thread doesn't get a feller's TAD actin up, I don't know what will! As I've mentioned in numerous posts over the years, I love all of my pipes. But there are definitely some that are more special to me than others... This is a replacement pipe, handed to me by the gentleman that is in charge of the Dr. Grabow factory in Sparta NC. It's a replacement for my very first pipe, given to me by a dear friend and mentor, General Jim, USMC retired, back in 1982. After years of traveling the globe, and a rather unpleasant divorce, it disappeared. After sharing my story with VP / Plant Manager, he walked up to me at the end of the tour and handed me a beautiful Royalton... My next two favorites were both gifts from fellow Briar Patchers.... This is a fantastic Edwards Billiard I received from Mike (MGTarheel) This one is by far my favorite cob. A hand stained, hand delivered beauty from our very own Magie (Ladie Margaret) Next up is my first Dunhill. A 1984 Canadian. This is a Windless Weatherproof that I got on ebay. It was a total mess and took days of work to remove all of the grunge and get it cleaned up. This Sav Yacht was in terrible shape as well, requiring hours of sanding and reshaping in an effort to repair a chip on the toe. Love the grain on this one. I've had this Nording the longest. Over 30 years... This is my first and only Gourd Calabash. Picked it up unsmoked at an antique shop last year for around $40. Another "First & Only" is this beautiful creation I bought from Paul @ Larrysson pipes. And finally what is probably my favorite pipe of all. It has been presented here on TBP many times, but I just can't help myself. ;-) Before I show you the "Afters" you really should see the "Befores"... This is how she turned out after many hours of loving sanding, filing, polishing and buffing.... And here she is in her dedicated pipe rest... Sorry bout the Threadjack.

Dino ^^^^^^^^^ those aresome beauties and your choice in tobacco’s is not to shabby👌👍👍. Enjoy for many years!! Thanks Ted. The Esoterica blends are definitely some of my favorites. This is evidenced by the fact that the Esoterica shelf is almost at max capacity... Who am I kidding? They're all getting pretty full. :-( I know, I KNOW! I've got a problem..... Oh well. Party on!

My favorite pipes...all of them. Out of 54 pipes there isn't a poor smoking pipe in the bunch. I have 16 that were made for me by a good friend in London. Like AJ, my most cherished pipes are the ones AJ gave me. I told AJ when I sent him my cherished Comoys that since I had them for over 50 years, that I wanted him to have them for another 50 years. I've asked my wife that when I go to the great beyond, that all my pipes be sent to AJ. Hopefully he will outlive me. Should he go before I, my pipes will go to one of the members here. My tobacco will go to pipestud for sale to help my wife with expenses.

That is a beautiful pipe, Don... kinda craggy, with some soft spots like someone I know, albeit from a distance.

Party at Dino’s... he will supply a kegger! Absolutely! Here's the newest addition to the cave. A Beverage Cooler. Our baby, Mousie, is headin off to App State next week and needed a dorm fridge. I decided to take this opportunity to help her out and improve the situation in the mancave. I gave her my fridge, which has the very small freezer in the top and subsequently less room for the important stuff (beer), and replaced it with this glass door beverage cooler (no freezer) with much more beer capacity. ;-) Here's Jenni's new fridge... And the new addition to the cave... Oh, and as is most always the case, this was another Craigslist find. Yup, you guessed it..... $100 ;-)
