Hi gang,
Sorry that I’ve been so out of touch as of late, the new job is really keeping me busy with learning new things. Loving the job! The commute, not so much, but it’s a tradeoff.
Anyway, been thinking about this a little bit and wanted to reach out to the pool of collective knowledge here and ask for a recommendation.
I would like a bulk or tinned tobacco suggestion for something medium bodied, with a vanilla punch and a pleasing room note.
Any and all thoughts welcome!
Thank you in advance and you’ll be “seeing” more of me the next week or so as I am on PTO and plan to enjoy quite myself.

Mac Baren Vanilla Cream is a staple for me. You might also check Boswell as they have some good ones as well.
PM me and I'll send a tin.

Could you say that about sweet kilarney? It's got a great room note.

Match Holiday! Good body with a little bit of everything and a light pleasing aroma. It is sweet though. The cleaning lady says that the room note is better than anything else I smoke.

Smoker's Pride Black Cavendish has a lot of vanilla, more than SP Vanilla IMO. I have yet to try the MacB Vanilla Flake or Cream, but it will happen. I would guess is your best bet. A pound of the cream is only 36$, which is a little higher than Sutliff or PS, but not that bad. Good enough price I would go for it. OTH, The PS sale might get me back in the game before it's over. They have a few Vanillas

Heinrich Reserve Crue 2 or 4 would fit the bill. Not heavily cased with more of a tobacco flavor. One has a slight hint of orange as well. I think it's #4.

Try Sutliff Molto Dolce, currently 20% off at S&P.

Try Sutliff Molto Dolce, currently 20% off at S&P. Excellent recommendation.....but needs a few days of air drying but well worth the wait👍

...FWIW, "Molto Dolce" would be my second recommendation...

If you want a subtle aro that smokes smooth and is pleasing to others try Peterson's Deluxe Mixture. It's all virginias with a vanilla/maple topping that is not over powering allowing the virginias to come thru as well.

No offense y'all but Motte Dulce won't dry out on a hot rock in the middle of summer.

I recommend the most popular tobacco sold, Lane 1-Q, tinned or bulk.

I recommend the most popular tobacco sold, Lane 1-Q, tinned or bulk. Agreed... it's such a no brainer easy smoke that doesn't leave you reaching or guessing for the flavor... it's right there.

A little lighter on the topping, and without any Black Cavendish, would be Sutliff J4 Mild Burley.

+1 on Cult Abacus. Addictive stuff. +1 on Mac B Vanilla Cream Flake. Also, a Boswell like Cupcake or Christmas Cookie (such macho names they give their blends ). And for a sleeper, try Lane LL-7!

Arrowhead Pipe Club Mixture from Paul’s Pipe Shop. You have to buy it the old fashioned way. Phone the shop.

C&D Green River Vanilla.
If you don’t want straight Black Cav, mix 1 part GRV to 2 parts C&D Pegasus.

I haven’t had the Mac Baren and cant compare the two. Green River Vanilla is similar to McC VBC or Lane BCA. The GRV topping is not as sweet as VBC or BCA. Also, as the name suggests, GRV is made with Green River Black Cavendish, which I consider to be the best Black Cav. I rarely smoke GRV straight but I do really like my home blend with Pegasus.

A little lighter on the topping, and without any Black Cavendish, would be Sutliff J4 Mild Burley. Exactly what I was thinking. The vanilla is subtle, but it is there. Room note is great. I bought a half lb about a month ago and have fallen in love with it.

I'm surprised at the lack of love for the Stokkeby vanillas. I especially like the Sweet Vanilla. Disclaimer: I'm not much of an aro smoker, I just like the sweet vanilla a few times a month for the sake of variety.

Thank you all for these great suggestions, I will be seeking out what I can find while I am on vacation until 8/23. I do have some of the Lane 1Q, found it amazingly tasty but the vanilla was a bit muted, almost drown out by the other flavor profiles i was noting. ExChef
