I only remember them on Lucy reruns other than that they didn't hold my attention but I do have great respect for them.

Despite the parseage of time, their jokes have aged remarkably well. I love them. As all great jokes will. Welcome to the Briar Patch, where we're all Marxists.
Blimey... As we do not discuss politics here, I'd better clarify. Of course I meant The Brothers, not that German Karl person.
Back in the 70s, Marxism-Leninism was in vogue, at least at the University of Copenhagen, where I studied English in the first half of the decade and I remember one time in the lunch room, where said ideology was discussed, I said that I too was a stout Marxist and when they found out that I meant the Marx Brothers, they got insulted. Really... they did ...insulted.
(I hope that I haven't overstepped aything. If so, a moderator is welcome to remove my rantings. LL, do your stuff).

...and the letter he wrote to Warner Bros about the dispute of the use of the word 'Casablanca', which the Warners thought they had the sole rights to use because their film was released before "A Night in Casablanca". That letter is a masterstroke and can be found in "The Groucho Letters". (I don't know wy I'm telling you this. You all know it).
Really? I'll have to get a copy of that!! You won't regret it and if you haven't got it already, do get a copy of his autobiography "Memoirs of a Mangy Lover" and of Harpo's "Harpo Speaks".

...let's not get overly sensitive... It's not my feeling that I'd be tarred and feathered, even if my posting could read like I find the Danish Left sadly lacking any sense of humour at all. A Danish politician once said that people with no sense of humour should have a disability pension.

I can say one good thing about Karl Marx, he had a good beard. Indeed, and a good head of hair to go with it.
If someone photoshopped the beard off him and made him bald, he'd be unrecognizeable.

yep.......Groucho could insult along with the best of Don Rickles. not sure if it was Uncle Miltie who started the insult comedy but reminded of this gem : Miltie to female heckler in the front row: "Damn...you're the ugliest woman I've ever seen" Lady: "Mr. Berle, you're drunk" Miltie: "yes I am but tomorrow I'll be sober but you'll still be ugly" He stole that line from W.C. Fields. Absolutely LOVE the Marx Brothers! ...and a dozen eggs! And a duck egg.
