Out of the mountain of money that I spent at P&C over the years, I got maybe two slightly dented tins with no compromised seal.
I bought several of the Russ O/ Mark Ryan series of tins that were in five lots...South Vacherie/ Belmont/ St James Perique etc... when you bought the five lot they throw bonus tins in of the same series... the order selector screwed it all up, and when I called and gave them an itemized accounting they were even more confused.
“ Pay is $20, and we will send you a correction”... that worked out really sweet! Enjoying some Perique blend SV-23 now.

I am surprised about the amount of energy you have put forth complaining about and degrading this company. You all could have cut your losses and moved on.
Well Garth its time to carry on. Party on Dudes.

Seems as if the thread is pretty balanced. I'm sort of surprised that people can bash Mars or 4 Noggins without being told the same. Sorry if this offends. I just don't quite get it

Well you cannot discount the claims people have made, along with the pictures, I have certainly been more fortunate than most. Knowing something about LTL freight, (not necessarily package freight though), the traffic lanes that you package travels in could make the difference on how many times it is handled, and what kind of goons work in hem facilities.

There have certainly been a lot of mistakes and bad packaging by P&C, that I can see from this thread and others.
I wonder how this compares with all their orders. Do we represent a small percentage of the orders placed and the vast majority see no issues, or are we a large representation of the piping community and therefore there is an extremely high percentage (at least by quality standards) of failures? What percentage of the pipes and pipe tobacco orders make up their total orders?
These are questions I can't answer, and I'm not sure many can. Perhaps the cigar community place a lot more orders and they arrive as expected.
Certainly, from reading this thread, I would be put off from purchasing from this place. I wouldn't want to take the risk.

While I don't think P&C looks at the roster for this forum and decides to screw with us all. They seem to piss off a high percentage of us...or maybe we are more vocal than most. Course if they haven't screwed you, you aren't going to complain. Just the nature of the beast.

I guess I have just been lucky. Some of their "boxes" are interesting and I can certainly see how anything fragile or tinned could be damaged, but I'll continue to buy bulk tobacco from them as their sales have been excellent.

… I ordered 3 tins of BlackHouse around 7:30 AM yesterday morning...P&C policy is that if you order by 2 PM it ships the same day...not so...this is the third time and this order won't leave the warehouse until at least next Tuesday...Pretty much had it with P&C and their bloody inconsistent customer service! … I wanted to correct the above issue...seems like USPS was responsible for not updating their tracking...until this past Sunday morning it showed that USPS was still waiting on the item...they had it and it arrived this afternoon which means that P&C did ship last Friday...However, because it has happened in the past, it was my assumption it had occurred again...

Good for you Peter, what were the odds it was not P&C’s fault. I had a similar issue with a new iPad I purchased. The USPS for some reason returned the package to the annex in Florida it originated from...nobody took responsibility for that debacle. USPS actually had it out for delivery to me but at the end of the day no package. The package was 6 days late, the seller was extremely nervous....it was a 12.9” iPad Pro bundle he shipped and only took half the value of insurance. He said...” that won’t happen again “!
