I have a Dr.'s bag for long trips, and a small repurposed AARP bag from my dad that I carry for day trips. I don't pipe during the day most of the time, so a tobacco pouch isn't necessary. But, I do have one from years ago.

I may have the wife making one out of some old flannels I have from living in Connecticut most of my life. We will see how it works out.

I used to carry things loose in my back-pack (I never felt right about using a briefcase) with the tobacco in a zip-lock bag but got enough grief that I switched to a leather roll-up with the pipe bowl sticking out.

Camera bags are easily re-purposed and have several pockets. That’s what I do and use it for home use as well. My collection/hoard is in an upstairs study and I tend to just want a break and not go up stairs, choose a pipe, choose a tobacco, load it up, go downstairs and outside to enjoy it. To go back upstairs, clean my pipe and come back down and go on with my day. I know, it's pretty lazy. I had this bag just hanging around and found a better use fir it. I smoke maybe once a day about five times a week. The bag allows me to keep a dozen 4oz mason jars with blends I have prepared by drying out if needed and are for the season. Eight are in here ,ow though. Anything outside of that I'll go to the study and prepare though. The bag is an Amazon Basics camera bag size large and holds plenty of tobacco for me or a heavy pipe user while traveling. I have thirteen pipes in it and can easily fit more. I have gas for my lighter, BIC backup lighters, matched, pipe cleaners, card stock paper cut to be a simple mat to catch tobacco while filling a pipe, a folding knife for cutting my pressed tobacco, czech tools and more. Its great for travel depending how you travel and gives options while away from home. Spending a week in the mountains it was great having options with me. I don’t carry every day but if I plan to or might smoke a pipe while out I use a Free Boy Pipe Bag. It holds two pipes and everything I need for that time.

I've got an old custom made leather pipe pouch made back in the 50's. Has several compartments for lighter, tobacco pouch, cleaners, and tamper...Will hold three pipes in it if they are of the older smaller type pipes. Use a Stokkebeye 4th Generation brown leather roll up, perfect for codger stuffing. Also have two old Comoy zipper pouches from the 60's that I bought when I bought my Comoys back then. Don't have a 3rd party image hosting site to show pictures, but could email you a picture if you wanted.

I use a small travel tote and a zippered leather pouch that holds 4 pipes and all the accessories needed. On this trip to Knightdale I have 24 different pipes in their socks. Plus 20 different tobacco’s in small non breakable containers. Works well for me👍

Set up any small tote with pockets inside and out, your ready to go! I also like the idea of using a decent size camera case that’s well padded.

I like wrap/roll up tobacco pouches like the one below listed on eBay. I bought one just like this in the late 70s for my father, except it was a different color of suede. He would fill it every morning and his tobacco would be fine for the rest of the day. A soft leather would be better though, as suede picks up dirt and stains easily. I think these are classy, but padded pouches or bags with pockets, snaps, and zippers are better if you're traveling and want something you can throw in your suitcase.

When I travel'd allot I never took more than three pipes and a roll-ups worth of tobacco at a time. I'd usually pick up a package of Dill cleaners at a drug store when I got to where I was going and because of the size of my roll-up which was a Dunhil pigskin I was able to roll one of my pipes in it with the tobacco and a few of the cleaners with it. My other pipes went my jacket pockets. When I go over to a pipe smoking friends I usually only take one pipe that gets rolled up in the pouch. I need to find another one as 50 years of use has about wore it out but it won't be a Dunhill for sure ! They still make my old pouch but want $180.00 s for it today !I think I paid $20.00 for it back in '69/'70. Times change ! Whatevr you get, remember to K.I.S.S. it !
