It doesn't have any markings. The case, which I believe is original to the pipe, only says French Briar.
It has a translucent red stem and a gold band.
I haven't refurbed the pipe, or touched it at all really. It's just a pretty little briar I keep on my shelf.
I'd welcome any feedback.
By looking at it, I would say that the guy at the antique shop was pretty darn close...that is a great looking pipe.
