Starting September with a cloudy sunrise. As I live in a farming town of mostly soy beans and corn, I'm getting things going with C&D Gentleman Caller in a MM Country Gentleman. Cramptholomew has been waiting on me to try this blend. Not sure what age will do but that dear tongue is, well it’s a thing. Both interesting and irritating. Burns my nose and dries the mouth but the taste also has a hold on me. Not sure if I can say good but not sure if I can say bad either. Further examination is needed. i LOVE the deer tongue. maybe some age will tone it down for you.

Now smoking 2010 GLP Westminster in a 1968 sandblasted Kaywoodie relief meerschaum lined pot with an acrylic stem. I bought this pipe for $10 at a local antique store. I spent $50 for it to be restored.

Maybe a better drink to go with it next time.

Starting off with a little Boswell No Bite Delite in a rusticated Savinilli Venere #61 Oom Paul watching Ole Miss v. Texas Tech (I will not say I want Ole Miss to win, but I will say I want Texas Tech to lose) and Oregon St. and OSU (come on Beavers!!).

Half way through this bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2014 Basil Meadows smooth slight bend squashed tomato with an aluminum band and a black pearl acrylic stem. A bottle of Mountain Dew made with pure cane sugar is my drink. Planning the work day, which includes Suzy and Molly demanding some attention.

Maybe a better drink to go with it next time. You might be smoking it too fast. I've never been bit by it. Tastes and smells like a freshly mown meadow to me. C&D Crooner also has Deer Tongue. That may be more your speed?

Now smoking year 2012 Rolando’s Own in a smooth straight early ‘60s Lane era “William Conrad” Charatan Executive Extra Large stretch apple with diagonal channel cuts on the lower right and left of the bowl along with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. Cleaning a few pipes.

I've gotten to the point where the best I can describe my smoking is I sip it. To enjoy more of the flavors I treat my tobacco like BBQ, low and slow. lol Could be its not for me. I'm gonna keep at it. I read how after a few years it gets better and C&D Crooner is on my list. And my cob, totaly ghosted. I can smell that deer tongue and its pretty nice but that pipe is officially dedicated now.
