Just a shout of joy for the Savinelli 320 line of pipes. I prefer the EX, but the KS is real good too. Over and over again they seem to preset a very satisfying smoke.
Or perhaps I have just learned to sip them well, not learned as much for other pipes.
I love the smoke imparted by a chimney, but I really have to get better at identifying and holding the pace of sipping a stack requires.

Tea at this desk, '06 daVinci in LaughingBaccus in smoking room 66, partly cloudy in Western NY.
'ol Ed (nuther day older actually) still munging around. No computer at all Sunday last. After over an hour on phone with Time/Warner gal...she claimed bad "router". Tech fella just left..easy fix. Router now in recycle box; sez we don't need one. All seems to be good at lest for now. Just finished dumping near 200 mostly junk e-messages.
Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY pipe/cigar since '62

Its been five days and finally the back is feeling better after a mild slipped disc and the air is feeling a bit like fall. Had to wait for the rain to take a break and when it did, I went outside with some coffee and two of my favorite blends, Edward G. Robinson and Presbyterian. Since I was already working on photographing holiday products for a client, I decided to lay out both pipes in the same space, even if I was only using my cellphone camera.

Rattray’s Black Mallory from the 70’s.....recently was gifted a generous sample. I’m puffing away now....air dried for roughly 45 minutes makes this blend simply wonderful. Just as I remember 👍👍👍👍
Pipe of choice: restored LaStrada hand made/carved chubby pot. Perfect pipe for this excellent blend!!
