Did it this morning so I have one ready after work. Have done it a few times at night, but I normally only get a morning pipe on the weekends.

...folks, try loading one up before you retire for the evening, and do a charring light... smoke it the next morning... you might like it... you might even thank me for the unsolicited advice, lol... I must try this. Thanks, in advance, for the unsolicited advice. Don't have to do this anymore....retired and loving it...now, I have the time and patience to play, load and fill up whatever strikes the mood...head out to the porch or shed depending on heat...music on low and enjoy the moment. Filling a bowl of Lanes 1-Q, for a change, in a Cloister straight grain prince.

It took over thirty years to get these two, which were gifted to me by Sablebrush. I had given up finding even one many years back, so I think I'm content now on the subject.
Almost half way through this bowl of Wilke Belmont in a 1975 three quarter bend black Dunhill Shell 52021 with a black vulcanite stem. Have enough for one more bowl.

wanted to sit outside, got all set up, packed a rob roy washington with cult profile and started puffing away, but it was just too stifling out there. finished my bowl, read one chapter while doing it, then packed up, came inside, closed the windows and turned on the AC. blech.

Just finished a bowl of AJ's #1...this is the blend that started AJ on a blending craze...got a pound from him when he made it. A mix of many different flakes rubbed out plus some other things for the mix. He managed to blend some amazing concoctions. To date I have #1, #7, #8. All pretty terrific.
Followed up with a bowl of Shortcut to Mushrooms in a Charatan tan shell #118 a small pipe. Presently getting ready to smoke a bowl of Butternut Burley (haven't smoked this yet today) in a hunter green cob that is just getting broken in.

One indicator of wisdom is to be able to discern the difference between necessary and unnecessary discomfort. Good on ya.

Finished a bowl of CULT Abacus, in my Reform Grand Tulip uber-chimney.
Wow, the last third of that bowl was delicious. I mean, the first and second thirds were great, but the last third was addictive.
Now on to some Billy Budd Blonde in a Savinelli 320EX, with Starbucks Verona Blonde (how fitting) to drink.

Got the seasonal sore throat from allergies today. Dust and whatever this rain is bringing in.
Which is also very soothing. Helps me to relax at night.
So general snus all day for me today. Not lighting up.
