I will never forget that morning. I was getting ready for work when my stepmother called to ask if I was ok. I had no clue. I turned on the television as the second plane hit. I looked outside and saw the fires. I lived on Sullivan Street (three blocks north of canal street). I’ll never forget the ‘missing person’ flyers that were posted all over town.
I’ll never forget that day and always remember those innocent people who were killed.

It’s a day too, I will never forget. I still have some images in my mind I’d much rather forget. Overall, 2,605 U.S. citizens were killed that day, also 300 plus non US Citizens. What most Americans don’t know is since the devastation of 9/11, almost the same number of deaths are on record caused by the aftermath of 9/11, many first responders have lost their lives since, the NYC Medical Examiners Office recently released a statement that more casualties from 9/11 are still inevitable. The death total of the aftermath will soon surpass the number of deaths from the cowardly attacks of 9/11.
MAY WE NEVER FORGET THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIFE ON 9/11, and the suffering that their loved ones deal with on a daily basis.
I lost a good friend in building #5 when Tower One came down crushing the much smaller building. Kenny V, your surely missed, may you and ALL those that lost their life on 9/11 Rest In Peace for all Eternity 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔

I was standing in line in a Walmart break room when I saw the 2nd plane hit the 2nd tower in the overhead tv, funny thing is, is nobody even noticed it in the news and were just going about their business. very bad for this country! my heart goes out to everyone who suffered

I was at work when the attacks began. My co-workers and I were stunned. A horrible day that I will never forget.

I was switching classes in 8th grade and watched the second plane hit the tower. I couldn’t comprehend it then but now it’s crazy to think of how bad it was for America.

I was having a Boat lift installed at my Condo on the Vermilion Bay. Had the TV on downstairs, plane flew into tower, knocked the crew off and had them come in downstairs den, told them 2 things, We are at war, This is history. We watched all morning, my insides were in a termoil. Damn the Bastards!

I remember the day clear as a bell and I will never forget what I saw on tv.
It was a tragic day in America and everything has changed since then. Many lives were lost. May their souls rest in peace.

I was in the office on the chemistry department of the University, talking to the secretary about my PhD submission, and she told me that a plane had crashed into a building in New York.
I went home and turned on the TV to see the second plane hit. I stayed glued to the TV all day until I had to go to a friend's wedding evening do. They had no idea about it. People kept it from them.
My heart goes out to the friends and families of those who lost their lives or who's lives changed dramatically as a result of the events of September 11th.

9/11 Living Memorial in Israel, in the Jerusalem Forest Hills. Please take the time to watch this video, most Americans don’t know it exists. Very poor media coverage here in the States.

I was living in Bergen County NJ at the time, just a stone's throw from Manhattan. My dad was stuck on the George Washington Bridge on his way to a meeting at the Empire State Building, and watched the whole thing. I was on my way to get coffee at 7-11, listening to Howard Stern, and thought he was doing a "war of the worlds" type joke broadcast (you never know...). Then I got to work and everyone was watching the TV. No one knew what was going on until the second plane hit. Awful day.

My sister is my personal 9/11 hero. She was living in Greenwich Village at the time, and after getting over the shock and knowing the immediate danger had passed, she jumped on her Harley and delivered food and medical supplies to homebound people and to rescue workers, making trips back and forth until the next morning and throughout the next day. Most of the pharmacies, diners, and supermarkets gave her stuff for free and when they didn't she just paid for it herself. Not a rescue worker or law enforcement or nurse - just a civilian who cared and wanted to help her fellow humans.

Budweiser played that commercial during a SuperBowl, and only aired it once, so they wouldn't make much money off it. The people's reactions are real. They said they had a hard time getting the permit for the helo to fly over NYC that low at the time.

College. I was sleeping in. Roommates where in the living room with their Girlfriends. Freaking out. Walked out. One of the girls was a happy go lucky blonde party slut (an understatement). She was a pure heathen who could not be bothered to care about any of life's questions or events or reality outside of her own pleasure bubble.
Suddenly she did realize it.
I'll never forget the look on her face.
Couldve banged her twice and didn't out of respect for my friend. Karma ship should be coming in any day now .. any day .. still waiting lol.

michael, aside from the fact that the majority of your post is inappropriate for a thread like this, a little more decorum on this forum is expected.
You're not still in college, and this isn't the frat house. Consider yourself warned.

People jumping out of high rise windows and Flight 93 - billions of dollars, thousands of lives, and we still haven't dealt with the problem.
A good friend of mine was in France that day so they interviewed him, didn't play it because he said a certain country should be turned into plate of glass. We sent troops, but fell far shot of that for better or worse.
Personally, went from a .380 on the ankle to a .45 on the hip and showed up to work, because we will not be cowed and one never knows.

We were in the headmistress's office of my son's private school listening to her tell us why he was being kicked out, when her secretary interrupted us and called her into the hall. When she returned she said that something had happened and she was closing the school. We found out what happened on the car radio, and got home in time to see the first tower fall, knowing that it was real and still finding it hard to believe.
