I wouldn't. But, to be fair, I also wouldn't pay even half of that selling price...even if the seller lived in my town.

Not at that price! And remember most of the financial hacking has been coming from that part of the world if you thought of paying thru the web!

Whether from Russia or not the price is too steep along with the shipping. No tobacco is worth that much as far as I'm concern.

Wow are people actually paying that for Frog Blends? Crazy Maybe I should count myself lucky that I never really liked them all that much. I don't feel the need to try to track them down now that they are gone. I would be willing to bet that in another 60 posts or so you could get a better deal on the market here. Someone has to have a few tins collecting dust.

Absolutely NO, the price is to the extreme. For that selling price you can purchase over 5 lbs of high quality bulk tobacco’s.

The fact that you debated on this says that you are a prime candidate to be fleeced. There are a bunch of tobacco’s on the market that will probably scratch your itch... you should order tobacco’s by the ounce that have some of the same components of the frog blends. Don’t chase unicorns.

I'd have no problem buying from Russia, especially with ebay buyer protection. But the price is INSANE. No tobacco is worth that.

On another thread you were saying $60 was to much on ebay. Think about it!

I wouldn't pay that kind of money for a tin of FMOTT, but that's me, YMMV. Buy yourself some Presbyterian Mixture and some Old Dublin. IMHO, FMOTT lies in between.

I’m debating whether this is a joke. And, this is coming from someone who is admittedly stupid when it comes to what he spends on tobacco...

Look at it this way: you could buy a tin (or a 1 oz sample) of every single blend that has been recommended to you as a replacement for FM, for probably half the cost of this single tin. Not to mention that as ben888 was getting at, Latakia fades over time - and so do aromatic toppings for that matter. 2006 FM will likely be lighter on the Lat, as well as less of that sweet/vanilla flavor that makes FM what it is. EDIT: slightly off-topic - judging by ebay sales and posts on social media, there seems to be an absolute TON of McClelland floating around Russia!

Yup, I’ve noticed the same!! Did the Russians know about issues with tobacco crops here in the States before us.....I think not. The Russians have the same ability as China.....might be a clone or even worse!! I’d stay clear👍

I got some "Russian" Syrian Star in a trade not long ago, and it's definitely the real thing. They probably just imported in large amounts but there aren't that many McClelland obsessives over there. Either that or Putin's behind it.

I love that tobacco. It's one of my favorites. For that price though I can buy 5 pounds of something else. I've been a pipe smoker for long time. When I started I was young enough to work all day and chase girls at night. If I had to pay that price for tobacco though I would hang my pipes on the wall as ornaments, and think about days of old when I put them to good use.

When the price gets to the point where 3 tins will by me a Springfield Range Officer,I may start to consider letting go of a few. Is anyone really that stupid? I guess if I was a multi-millionaire I wouldn't even think about it. But then all the millionaires I have known were very careful with their money.

Ok, 4 tins of FMC and 2 Christmas Cheer for a Range Officer. Where are you going to get a better deal than that?

I would not buy anything to be sent from Russia unless I knew the people.
Surely, there are good folks there. I do not know any of them.... except one Red Army tank driver who advised me to clear out from where I was standing and fast. At least, I think that is what he was shouting.

I would consider it, but only after my brains had been sufficiently conditioned by the proper application of a ball peen hammer.
