I was just wondering how many people here are solo pipe smokers.
I will admit that I do enjoy a bit of Swedish General Snus. Maybe about 2-3 dips a day. I no longer touch cigarettes, though.
I smoke the occasional cigar, maybe once a month. What are your other habits?

The odd Cohiba cig (yes, cig, not cigar, although I'm quite fond of their cigars when I can afford them) and nasal snuff once or twice daily (5 local blends open on the smoking table).

Just the pipes for me. Years ago I would have smoked a cigar once every couple of years, but today it's just the good ol' pipe.
In the UK, it's the cheapest form of smoking.
As for the non-smoking kind...I've never chewed or tried snuff or snus. I don't really feel any cal to either.

Cigars occasionally. Nasal snuff, I never leave home without it.

Pipe only. Cigs, chew and dip are all in my past.

Pipes and vapes. I vape all day, and have my pipes at night.

I sorta enjoy a light cigar, maybe 2-3 times a year.
As a teenager, I tried a cigarette. I had to take a 2nd puff, to confirm it was a foul as I thought.
I tried chewing tobacco once. That resulted in violent spitting.

Only pipes for me. Maybe an occasional good cigar, but nothing else.

I have an occasional cigar. I enjoy cigars quite a bit. But I only have them occasionally because I enjoy a pipe so much more.

For years I smoked much more cigars within a 24 hour period, maybe 2 Pipes a day. Now I rarely smoke a cigar.....I much more enjoy the fine Art of pipe smoking 👍👍👍

Used to smoke 2 cigars a day, but that got too expensive. Now, may be 1 every couple months. Pipe is much better.

I enjoy a nice kretek every once in a while. I've never even heard of that. Kretek are cigarettes made with a blend of tobacco, cloves and other flavors. I still remember the aroma from when I lived in Europe.

Years ago I smoked cigs and cigars regularly but not much today. The sargent major in my unit got me on to pipes and off cigs back then. I've a friend from Venezuela who get's to Cuba twice a year on business and he brings me a box of Partagas Coronas at Fritmas when he visits his family here. Since there are just 25 cigars in a box I ration them to maybe 2 a mo. I occasionally have a pack of unfiltered Pall Malls, maybe 2 packs a year. Don't snort or chew as both of those ways are nasty to me.

Pipes, Cigars and Cloves. I do not inhale the cloves. They contain an oil.

In Ireland we do lots of weird, but fun stuff.
Also at Christmas time we light a cake called a "plum pudding" (with no plums in it, lol) on fire with Irish whisky. After the pyromania episode, everyone digs into this really potent alcoholic fruit cake thing, and gets even drunker than before.
Christmas. I love it.

So, roadsdiverged, back to the cloves...how do you smoke them? Do you grind them up and do a RYO or put them in a pipe?

They're ground up and mixed with other spices and/or tobacco. They come pre rolled, not sure about RYO. I had a girlfriend many moons ago that smoked them.

They don't sound terribly great. It's been years since I had a clove cig offered by a friend in college, don't think they are available here anymore. You can be sure of one thing, anything with those mixed in doesn't taste like tobacco!
