@ trailboss That’s an awesome doggy. I have a Germain’s Shepherd. Often times, the best smokers are the grungy ones. That’s why I snap a pic right after they roll off the resto bench. They don’t stay shiny for long. A Germain’s Shepherd? You know have TAD when your iPhone auto corrects German to Germain’s.

The only one I own. When I got it the stem was completely brown, it was beat up and well used. Now it's a great smoker.

Thank you. It smoked odd at first too. But I was able to fix that with some pipe mud. (Thanks again for the tips Ted)

@lonecoyote
Unfortunately, I have gifters remorse. I gave that dress black to a guy I work with when he first got into the hobby.

One of my favorite bulldogs. This fat little nosewarmer smokes like nobody’s business, although the bone screw tennon can be a pain in the neck if the stem gets out of alignment. 1906 BBB Own Make

I had an Aldo I purchased back in ‘87 with heel damage after 5,000 plus uses, so about 3 years ago I had to do a mud repair. Pipe still is an excellent smoker, no gurgling 👌👍👍

Here's two more GBD bulldogs from 1949: I’m a bit jealous. Those are fantastic.

I believe I could give up any of my pipes easier than I would give up my Grabow Freehand. And a few of the estate Grabows I've received have turned out to be great smokers as well.
