^^^^^ I guess humor is lost on some people π lol. I think most of us know that tobacco is more expensive across the pond than here in the USA,at least for now (FDA cometh). Still did we ever stop to think that maybe Legend Lover is not a hoarder and has no need to stash enough tobacco to last five lifetimes...not that there is anything wrong with that.π

I'm not trying to hoard five lifetimes worth of tobacco, but I do like variety and the fact that, if I have enough in my drawer, if the UK somehow ban tobacco sales, I'll have a decent amount to keep me going.

Many of us have a problem and need to seek medical help to curb our hording habits. For this very reason a hotline has been set up in the United States, call 1 800-867-5309 (Legend Lover if you need help you can call as well). Best chance to beat this disease is to hit it early and hard. Many here will have to go through far more intensive therapy while some are almost beyond reach as denial is reality . Do yourself a favor folks, call that number.Jenny and a host of other trained specialists are there to help you find the aid you need.π Sponsored by the Anti-Tobacco Stalinist Alliance

In all seriousness, I do enjoy seeing the man caves, cellar and pipes others have been accruing through the years. While I have a pipe collection that will rival many, my tobacco stores are lower than those pictured here (with the exception of Legend Lover, who lives across the pond where I hear tobacco prices are quite high.π). Even so, I really enjoy and appreciate seeing how folks here are getting along, whether they be way ahead of the curve or not. It helps knowing that we are united in our efforts to save this hobby and encourages each of us to forge ahead, picking up ideas along the way. So if my humor or your concern is stopping you from posting , PLEASE do not let this be so. It really does my heart good (I believe others here agree with this sentiment as well) to see each of us fighting back in our own ways. Yes a good cellar is part of the fight.

There are one or two members of this forum that know the extent and depth of my stash. I donβt post much info about it just in case the Government somehow makes possessing tobacco a crime. Too cautious? I began warning pipe smokers back in 2012-13 of up coming regulations and urged them to begin stashing their favorite blends. Back then some blends were beginning to disappear, as a result of political situations across the world, as well as the number of tobacco producers, ie: farmers. As it has turned out I was right. Not because I have some inside information or a crystal ball but because I was born and raised in the State of NC where tobacco was king. Farmers that raised tobacco could no longer sell their crop at a profit providing they could find a company willing to buy it. One doesnβt have to be genius to see that tobacco farming was no longer a viable option. Then the Regulations came along. I believe eventually buying tobacco online will be prohibited or at least be prohibited from shipping through the mail. Prices will be going up because tobacco will only be available at a B&M. Costs of having a B&M as well as tobacco shortages along with more taxes will drive prices upward. I strongly urge everyone to stash as much as they can afford their favorite blends. Tobacco will never be cheaper and more readily available than it is today. Itβs not hoarding, itβs planning for the future of your enjoyment. I might suggest that one may be better served if they kept information about their stash to themselves, no offense to the OP of this thread intended. BTW this is how I see things about the future of tobacco, you may see things differently.

Likewise, be more than happy to send you a "birthday" present...not on your birthday. I'm pretty sure his birthday is any day now.. end of the month, guys. But you're all too kind to be offering to send me stuff. Some have already asked for my address and I've asked them to reconsider sending me anything in case it gets stuck in customs... But you people are too darn generous... And stubborn.

Ok I am being serious again .. How about pulling resources together and send a combined package or two from one or two sources here in the states? One of us can do a bit of research to determine the best way to ship the package(s) in order that it reaches Lover's place without great interference. (Maybe I should use the word Legend's instead?)

I understand the warnings (Lonecoyote & Legend Lover). The idea of sending multiple tobaccos in a single package to reduce shipping is done; That is what I was suggesting. Maybe a zip lock bag in a personal letter?π

Ok folks, I'll share what I know so far.
50g is all that can be shipped in a single package.
USPS is the cheapest way to ship. Do not ship priority 1st class it will be opened.
If the tin does not have the warning label on it about killing you. It will be confiscated.
Anything with a declared customs value of under $400 US is safe. Over that all the fees will be enforced. Don't think about fibbing they know most prices.
The bigger the box the better. It has to be big enough to hold the customs form.
28 days or so for delivery time. Send it snail mail for less problems.
All of this info is changeable at any time by The Royal Mail over there without notice.
Plus if they do open a package there is a fee to repackage it an has to be paided before delivery.
There is more but you'll have to do your homework.

The best bet is for us to plan a trip to the land of Irish Whiskey and take as much allowable to forget when we leave.

But I ONLY gave him my address because he tricked me...I thought he was sending me a wood-turned tamper and nothing else.

Ready for it, come a little closer, the secret address can be found with johnr who knows the Lover's headquarters in the red light ,green light, yellow light, blue light district somewhere in N. Ireland.
