I see these shows take a bit of foresight. Glad you're prepping well. I'm envious.

Here and was talking with Brian Levine for awhile! If you tell him that you love pipesmagazine radio show, he has a free gift for you. He has been saying that for the last few shows. Now that Brian is a travel agent for pipe smokers,If you can spare the coin Dave, book me a trip to Aruba, Fiji, etc.. I m not picky.

I arrived Thursday afternoon and met up later with Scottie Piersell and her husband Heath to go to the Meeting at Pipe and Tabac in Overland Park KS. Also along was Steve Norse of Vermont Freehand. Much interesting conversation on the trip there and at the meeting.
Earlier in the day I met up with Brian Levine of PM Radio Fame. I asked what pipes he had and he mentioned a Jody Davis P&T pipe. Friday he showed it to me and I bought it. Later Friday night Nate King came in and I had mentioned to him earlier on Instagram I liked one of his princes. I also bought that pipe lol!!!!
In the smoking tent that night we smoked some vintage cigarettes and the most wonderful blend from Holland, which they narrowed down to coming from the 30s or 40s. Nate King found that blend on ebay. Greg Pease raved about it!
Saturday the show started off and I picked up my Nate King Prince. Later I bought a Paul Bonaquisti straight grain billiard from 2006. This was all the pipes I got on Saturday. Later in the evening I met up with Qmechanics and Pistol Pete and we had a great time talking, smoking and getting to know each other. That evening was the banquet and Mike and Mary McNeil, of McClelland where honored.
Sunday I bought 2 Parker Patent pipes that I had made arrangements the day before to see. I also bought some tins of BlackHouse and Fusiliers Ration from the same gentlemen. I put some bids down on the silent auction and was lucky to win a beautifully sandblasted bent Jessi Jones of Blue Briar Rooms. The last pipe I bought was a beautiful lovat from an up and coming carver from Kansas. This young man has tons of potential and an overall consensus was the sky is the limit. His name is Alex Hasting and he trained under Grant Batson.
Pics will be added later when I have time as I am off to the VA later for an appt.
Overall a great time was had. Floor traffic looked better on Saturday then last year and many people had purchases in hand!
