I notice a lot of NFL fans here....lol. After watching the Packers Redskins game yesterday this needed to be posted after Clay Mathews of the Packers was flagged/ penalizing 15 yards for roughing the passer. Even though I’m a Redskins fan for 50 plus years the referee made a BAD call.

The NFL should just go to flag football, and penalize anyone that yanks the flag unsportsmanly, by getting a bullying penalty.
Why slow walk it when you can get to the goal quicker?

You can't blame the poor refs too much - they are stuck with a bad rule that nobody likes. They're just enforcing the letter of the law and they've been pretty consistent. Basically, can't land on the QB when you tackle him. C'mon man, that's how a textbook tackle ends. I don't expect this one to remain unmodified. Hopefully, they won't make it more muddy and up to interpretation, because I feel bad enough for the refs already.
It's a stupid rule and needs to go. The NFL however, will do whatever it can to protect it's mone er, quarterbacks. The attendance and viewership are down this year, and they're scramblin'. If or when they figure this rule is costing them money, they'll rescind or modify it.

That about covers what the rule should be.

Back in November, Roger Goodell's new contract demands came out. He didn't look good.
Because he was only making a paltry thirty million (a YEAR), he needed a raise to almost FIFTY MILLION ($49.5, a YEAR), and a private jet the NFL paid for (for life mind you). I mean, who can afford jet payments on $49.5 million? (a YEAR.) More annoying was his demand the NFL pay for his health insurance, for him and his family, for life. Since 2006, the poor thing has only grossed $212 million, so he clearly needs the money.
Now I'm the biggest American football fan in the world, love love love football, one just needs to understand the televised games exist for ONE reason. Not going to watch a minute less of the part between the whistles, but I damn sure mute the commercials. Go Cowboys. Well er, next year. Maybe. Damn. [weeps softly]

With this, I completely agree. Am still waiting to hear back from the league on my suggestion of giving the receivers swords and the linemen warhammers though.

I think all quarterbacks should have to wear dresses.

Well, not wanting to get political, but I think we know why the attendance and viewership has been on a downward spiral the last couple of years with the whole anthem mess. But I don't think that's the only reason. I've watched the NFL since I was a kid and I think the games have become boring and predictable.

Can I copy and share that video? It really needs to be posted on twitter and facebook. If you quote the original post you'll see the link present where you can copy and paste it into facebook or Twitter. You can, alternatively, right-click on the video and select, 'copy video address'. That's much easier.

Here's the link....

and remove the space between the / and the i, and between the p and the 4
I can't post the proper link because the forum software converts it into a video.

I am the biggest Cowboys fan in the whole world. Every Cowboys player is the best player ever at his position, every other player sucks. I refuse to do fantasy football because I positively will not root for a non-Cowboy. The fans down here are kinda fair-weather, and will argue their position. Why should I root for a team that sucks? Why do they deserve my money?
They don't understand when your team sucks is when they need you the most. Go look at the Cleveland fans: brown-painted and shirtless in the 30° below driving snow watching their team lose; those are fans. Oh well.
I do however, hate the smarmy twerp who fired Tom Landry and I always will. And the Eagles.
Looking at 7-9 or 8-8 this year, and no playoffs. Sean Lee is already hurt. Offensive line couldn't block a squad of angry girl scouts. No passing game to speak of, and even a good back like Zeke needs some blockers to do well. I wonder who our new head coach will be next year.
BTW, back on topic, the sack in the video is clearly illegal: you can't lift a QB in the air like that.
