I was wondering when oj Simpson would come up. Didn't take that long. Less than 24 hours.

No love for the blues-mobile?
It’s got a cop motor, cop tires, cop suspension...

One might object to the order and the films left off the lists but here we go. 1970s
1980s
Two clear misses:Back to the Future is a miss. The Blues Brothers should be ranked higher.
1990s
Bullitt 1968 extended scene:

While “Bullet” is exciting I really liked the chase in “Smokey and the Bandit”. An entire movie dedicated to the chase.

Well here is one for you; what movie has the best car chase of all time? I have three, and in no particular order here they are- 1) Mad Max, just a great super long chase at the end. 2) Ronin, Super intense chase that keeps you riveted to your seat 3) Duel, The whole movie is a car chase that has a tremendous finish Honorable Mention: The Seven Ups- when Roy Scheider crashes into the back of a Semi.. What are Your favorites?? Was gonna say 'The Seven Ups' one but , ya' beat me to it ...

Bullitt (1968) with Steve McQueen. My vote for #1 as well. Steve McQueen (and Sean Connery) were probably the coolest dudes of the 60's. Steve lived up to the old saying "live fast, die young, and have a good looking corpse".

Being a truck driver most my life I root for the truck in that movie because, and I know Dennis Weaver didn't do anything to deserve the attention the truck in question gave him, there many out on the highway that do. I always wanted a steam loco cow catcher on the front of my tractor but, let's not go into my sykey too deep. Besides the role Weaver played hit me as sort of a wimpy little mouse afraid of his own shadow. He could have portrayed his role a little stronger if ya ask me.

Being a truck driver most my life I rooted for the truck in that movie. Although I know Dennis Weaver didn't do anything to have the truck direct his unwanted attention towards him there are many on the highway that do to this day. Back then I always wanted to put a steam loco cow catcher on the front of my tractor but, let's not go further into my psyche. I reckon the way Weaver portrayed his role, as a wimpy little mouse afraid of his own shadow with little common sense didn't help matters. I believe he could have portrayed his role a lot stronger and I may have felt different.......but, I doubt it.
Anyway, my vote is Bullitt.

No body remembers Thunder Road? The Italian Job sold a lot of Minis...maybe my favorite sports car chase, Vanishing Point for Mopar, Two Lane Blacktop for Chevy and Bullit for Fomoco

And then there was the "California Kid" with Martin Sheen and Vic Morrow.

Fury Road is up there for sure (basically the whole movie, but the sandstorm is tippers), and maybe the scene from Bourne Identity (Supremacy?) where he's driving Maria's car.

Blues Brothers just because of the number of cars destroyed making the film.

Can we add Le Man by Steve McQueen? Technically it's about the race, but there's so little movie and SO much car action!

I always wondered what appealed to me so much about the 7 ups chase scene ? So I re-watched it yesterday {mp4 on my mac.} ... I guess it's just the sound of that car & Roy Scheider's reactions {I Love those late 60s / early 70's cars !! }

Bullitt.. I especially like the same green VW beetle that shows up 4 times during the chase.
