I hope it's true this time.
This film has been in the "coming soon" stage for what seems like forever.
And there's been a "release" in the past.
Only the film is never complete.
I wish the makers well. I look forward to its completion. And I'll watch when given an opportunity...
But I'm not holding my breath.

They "screened and world premiered" it at a pipe show last year...and it wasn't complete. |

I'd heard about this film in the making...really looking forward to it...watched the trailer and it was all I hoped it to be. Particular interest in "and a fourth-generation Native American pipemaker who carries on his ancestors’ sacred traditions."
This should be a great film!

This film is officially done, they redid the score after the showing at the 2017 cpcc show. These guys are semilocal to fcps and the makers are saying its done. johnlawitzke would know better than I. |

Yup, it’s done. The official premiere will be at the Chicago International Film Festival on Oct 12. No word yet when it will be available on DVD and BlueRay. |

So we are past the Chicago premier date now. Has anyone seen the film or know anyone that has? I haven't googled any reviews yet but honestly am more interested in a review from a pipe smoker. I am hoping we will have a way to watch it soon, I am really looking forward to watching it.

If they put it on DVD/Blu-Ray, I'd buy a copy. That damn teaser on their website is too much of a teaser lol. I would think it would be available for purchase fairly quickly since I can't imagine many theaters showing the film. I will buy it for sure. I actually messaged them about a poster for purchase. It is a very cool looking poster and would fit perfectly in my man cave.  |

On a similar note, in the most recent Pipesmagazine Podcast, Sykes Wilford said that Mark Irwin’s Book on Peterson Pipes will be coming out soon. I am looking forward to that.... it has been a long time in the making.
