Plants..In the old days.My grand parents generation and those before them grew most everything from seeds. With some exceptions. They almost always bought tobacco plants.

I use seeds only. In my experience they turn out to be healthier plants.
I'm in the paint store getting some paint for this afternoon. I ran into a lady that does landscaping and is looking for some "different" kinds of trees. Luckily, I have pictures of all of my trees I started for bonsai. I was showing her what they look like when they're full grown. She said she is very interested and gave me her name and number and took my information.
Looks like I'll be planting some more trees soon

I've always wanted to grow mushrooms. Just never got into it enough. I always wanted to grow fungi, but I don't have mush room. It takes a certain kind of mind to pun like that....

I like flower gardening, peppers, and tree horticulture. You are literally burning weed...well, weeds. That's an Eastern Red Cedar in a '74 Dunhill Shell Briar LB. A bit of moss with a piney aftertaste. Burns down to a fine white ash with a few needles.

My neighborhood has very small yards. A couple years ago a neighbor and I dug up an entire back lot and had a huge garden which was very nice. Then new tenants moved in to the apartments there and didnt want a garden anymore. This year I just had a small space in my yard and planted collard greens about 10 plants from seed. They are a great plant to grow I have been eating from them most days since May and now they are very large and abundant. I like plants that keep producing instead of a single harvest. I would like to have land some day with a large garden again and a few fruit trees!

Because of my back, I can't really be crawling around pulling weeds, but I always planned on being a gardener. I have a hydroponics cabinet in the basement- That's... Fun. haha

Here's the last couple of tomatoes and some Marigolds that came back from last year: Tobacco plants that stayed dwarfed all season and never even tried to flower:

We’ve been having rain galore, Buddy has been eating the mushrooms, it’s giving him diareae, wife has been cooking him rice with peas it’s stopped his blowouts. Had a garden a long time, stopped as I’m getting older, was giving it all away. Tomato’s and eggplants , plus okra was the main thing with a few peppers. I inherited my Grandmothers green thumb, but now I’m buyin at Farmers market, perials of growing old. "wife has been cooking him rice with peas " What was your address, again...Oldcajun...I love rice and peas and I can bark when requested. Just don't ask me to take a cr*p to get it. My gardening of vegetables always ends in disaster...now I can grow some rabbits foot fern (davillia fejeensis) and Christmas cactus all day long...and I've had great success with rhyzomatus begonias in the past. Won several awards for those in the Begonia Contest in Miami.
