Not many sweets in my kitchen.
I baked Southern Biscuits yesterday and have yogurt, cream and jam on hand. Ought to be able to whip something I do not need. LOL!

I never knew that. However, I did have some apple crumble with custard for dessert today. Hard to beat.

I got my A1C down to 6.0 so I'll just drool over the pictures. I had mine down to 6.3 in May, and had been doing well until late August rolled around. My wife is a teacher, and once School starts up, things around here get REALLY hectic, so eating well can get lost in the hubbub. It's started to settle down now, so I should be back to doing things correctly. That said, our friends are bringing an apple crisp over tonight, and I don't want to offend by not having any...

I really have no sweet tooth at all... an occasional piece of pie with coffee goes down well.
I like making homemade cinnamon rolls, sopapillas, BlackBerry cream pie that has a cheesecake base... I typically nibble and the family eats it all.
Give me salty stuff and I turn into a scarfing lunatic.

The Cherry Garcia made the brownie delicious π

I've never tried it with cherry Garcia, but some ice cream would be splendid right now. Haven't had any in almost a week!
Our pecans are dropping right now. I hear em on the neighbors tin roof all night long since the windows are open

No ^^^^^^^^ Piggly Wiggly stores nearby? Even Dairy Queen will do. Ice cream is my downfall.

Plenty of stores but I haven't felt like going anywhere since I decided to work today.
Ice cream is a nightly ritual for me after a pipe. It is missed. When my normal routine/schedule gets outta whack it really messes with me.

Unfortunately, there is no way to get them home in summer before they melt, so I have to skip them. Somehow, ice cream in winter does not have much appeal. LOL!

A member had stated about two weeks ago that Cafe Du Monde β $ucks β! I knew I could rely on you for the latest infoππ We went to the one in Metairie. We were at the one in the French Market yesterday, but we were too hot and tired to eat hot fried bread. Haven't had a chance to get hungry since we got here. I just had redfish with crabmeat on top. Karen had 4 huge blue crabs. Bread pudding with bourbon sauce for dessert.

Savoury wins every time.

Yes, every night for roughly the last 2 years. I love the stuff, especially after a big bowl of Red Odessa or Bayou Night.
