I ordered two 100g tins of OGS during their sale last week. I got my order in today, and they'd sent me two 50g tins by accident. I emailed them, and had a reply back in under an hour, with a shipping notification as well. Ben had sent out two 100g tins, and told me to keep the two 50g tins, because of the error. That's just above and beyond the customer service call of duty. They have my business forever.

That's excellent customer service... And you're 100g up. You don't often see that.

They would lose money having it shipped back, so it makes good economic sense as well.
Years back, I delivered a Cherrywood dresser to a residence from a furniture manufacturer, the homeowner asked me if I wanted to buy the identical one he had that had a tiny scratch for $50.
I didnโt need a dresser, so I declined... he bought it at Costco, and with their policy it was up to the manufacturer to ship one out. They told him to keep the old one. The cost of shipping back would require hiring a crafting company, and there is still no guarantee that it wouldnโt get damaged by a freight carrier. Still, some companies require us to pick up the old one and throw it in a dumpster.
Back in the day, freight employees damaged a lot of stuff purposely so they could take it home... always minor damage btw... now that is an unpardonable sin to do so.

Last year I ordered 3 8oz tins of Corn Cob Pipe and Button Nose from SP. They sent 2oz tins. I emailed them and they did the same thing as happened to Cramp. Three 8oz tins and keep the smaller ones.
PS - Yes, this is a boast: I nailed my Gold Badge for being a UPS freeloader.

Eventhough I've had few dealings with tobaccopipes, I like them. I try to do all of my business with them or SP.
A happy customer is a repeat customer.

I thought about that, but they could've just shipped me a 100g tin to make up the difference, instead of shipping me two. So that's very good on them. I emailed him back to thank him, say that he didn't have to do that, and that it was above and beyond. He just said "you are very welcome! Thanks for supporting us!".

Haha, I just realized I messed up to begin with. I guess it was only the 50g tins that were on sale, and I'd bought the 100g. So, looks I got 300g for $27.78, and that works out to $4.63 per tin. That worked out great, and I have tins to cellar!

Great service so far from them. But, I tend to go to SmokingPipes first, then them.

They're in my state (Florida) and I buy from them almost exclusively. Once I got on the waiting list for Balkan Sobranie and when the notified me that it was back in stock, I put in an order for one tin. I got two tins in the mail, for the price of the one that I ordered. Don't know how that happened, but I didn't complain.

Great customer service, and the prices are very competitive I've bought a couple things from them before, including my favorite ebony Peterson 303. They haven't disappointed, and, obviously, made better than good on that last order. I'll throw more of my business their way.

Sounds like a good company to do business with...and they are in my home state. Almost a B&M for me.

Sounds like a good company to do business with...and they are in my home state. Almost a B&M for me. They handle the shipments for Sutliff's sponsoring pipe clubs. A really nice job of sending the tobacco, pipe cleaners, and individual copies of review sheets. My personal tobacco shipment was flawless after I realized that I needed to verify my age....can't blame them for that.
