Hope I got the right forum. I purchased yet another Android Tablet, but for a specific reason. Besides the price what makes this different is that the keyboard and tablet (that can be separated) are fixed together. It's actually like a tiny laptop, and as comfortable as a 1500$ Intermec Windows CE device I had ages ago. Perfect to fold, but the I-Mec would sleep after five minutes and you couldn't change the settings. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XCKNR17/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1If you have any tablets that have those notebook folders that have a keyboard built in, it takes up your USB/Charging plugin or it's Bluetooth, which is a pain (IMO). less than 70$ this beauty has its own charging plugin, the keyboard is attached through the side of the tablet, and you still have your USB available to stick a flash drive in. Most importantly, the keyboard and tablet do not have to be continually repositioned to find or keep the correct typing angle. It's got the latest Android and all the programs I put on it were compatible. Android has free Microsoft Word and Excel, among other programs. These are not compatible with all Androids, but are with this. It takes up less space than a tablet with notebook keyboard, and for the metrosexuals, this will fit in your man-purse. I stream my cable over this and stream Amazon Prime Videos. These are brand new for this year from RCA, so you are also getting a major brand.

That really is neat. Does it have the processing power you need?

I have an older iPad, which I still use. It's comfortable, but when I bought an iBook I realized I could not read it on my Apple or any other machine, but iPad. So, if the iPad goes bad I have to spend hundreds just to keep the book.
I reset it recently and found that programs I paid for were gone. Most I was able to download older versions, which is nice. But that was it.
Android, most new programs are backward compatible.
On another note: iTunes retains every song I've ever purchased, no matter if I deleted it or not. Not so with Amazon. Amazon does nothing but screw up my music collection and if you accidentally delete your song online and empty the trash... it's gone.
For reading magazines, iPad really rocks. I love it for that

Some tablets you can bend. Not this one. I haven't had this much fun since the goats ate my twin brother's underwear. He was due for a change

David, that’s a good little laptop ( tablet PC ) for the price. My only advice is to purchase the extended warranty from Amazon as well, it’s inexpensive. This device uses a micro-USB, just so your aware. I set one up for a friend from NY on my last visit. He liked the device because it’s compatible with Google Docs. He took the extended warranty, good move on his part because just over a year of use his motherboard went bad. Amazon ended up sending him a new unit. Any data that’s important to you back up on a cloud service, you can always replace the device, but not your data if not backed up.
Enjoy your new toy, may it bring you many years of use👍👍👍

Ted, I usually balk at those coverage deals. Ever since I bought a Dodge 024 with wall to wall coverage, except for things like door handles, windshield wiper motors, window handles. I have never once had a warranty work in my favor. In the case of my Yugo, I got a lot of warranty done, but on the important item I had to threaten to sue the dealer.
As to Micro USB's, I am amazed at how every time a cable connection gets upgraded things get worse. USB 3.0's are a big joke.

I only have one Mac account, btw Yeah. For the last few osx versions anyway. You have to sign in and then it gives you a screen where clicking “all books” shows you your book purchases with cloud-download buttons.

There are methods to un-DRM the book files and read them in generic ePub readers but that’s not a topic for here.

My iPod version 6.0 will upgrade no further and new apps will not work with anything less than 8.0. I still use them for what they have on them and I am glad I got them. Apple had to admit to throttling older phones with slower service to get people to upgrade. I have had 1 2K$ laptop that went bad in a year, two Mac Minis, with numerous firewire hard drives, 2 iPods, 3 earlier MP3 players, and one iPod that has not been able to update forever. You can check IOS updates here: Mine had the shortest time upgrade, but it is off people like me they make their money to continue to version 2 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPad

An iPod touch v6 can take the newest os and iPad os upgrades are issued for years. I think you have some other issues (of the political kind).

Excuse me, it was a 4th generation that upgraded to 6.1 or whatever. It's in the drawer, so I had to look iPod up on Wiki. A short time after I bought it the newer one came out. Going to say this once: I have never gotten into a political discussion here and I won't now. If you're referring to me calling Apple the Beast (which I did not think about till just now), I meant in the way it's built itself up. I could say the same for MS, Amazon, etc. It means big company. I don't care for being accused of things I don't feel at liberty to answer. I suggest you go to your privacy tab and put me on ignore and I will do the same. It was about Android for crying out loud, not some world issue

Boy oh boy...haven't heard anyone mention RCA in a long time......... That's what sort of makes this a joyous thing. Some of my best electronics and digital cameras were/are Kodak. Had some Polaroid drives and printers that were good, too. It beats Wintel, which has an almost transparent W so you think it's an Intel

I stream my cable over this and stream Amazon Prime Videos. These are brand new for this year from RCA, so you are also getting a major brand. Anyone interested in these may want to look at Walmart. I think they are a bit cheaper through Walmart than via Amazon. If I'm looking at the right tablet, Walmart has these for $50. t has them for $50.

I need to check, but both places will throw refurbished ones in there. I was going to go to a 10 inch Windows RCA, but I found out the programs I want most I can get on Android. I shall return when I check this out. Thanks.

Good call, blackmouth210 . I buy a lot from them, too. I only compared the larger tablets. It would not be an issue with me, but it is typical Walmart. Camera and pic shows front and back cameras. Mine only has a black, which I knew when I bought it. Text on the Walmart one shows FRONT camera. I needed neither, but it appears you have found a much better deal on this. Been using mine off and on tonight and love it. Oh, I get a discount at Amazon, but that's still not enough to lessen your deal.

This is the beloved 1500$ Intermec, which was designed perfectly for 2001, but it did not give the user many options, like changing sleep time. It had MS Word, Access, and Excel built into its ROM. RIP, little fella
