Merry Christmas Patchers! It is time to participate in the 2018 "Un-Official Briar Patch" Secret Santa Event. A quick listing of the rules: - November 15, 2018 is the cutoff date to sign up for the Secret Santa event.
- Have a minimum of 50 posts by November 15, 2018, or be vouched for by a member who has at least 100 posts. NO EXCEPTIONS. Participants whose post count is close to 50 will be scrutinized for post quality.
- Agree to send a gift of, AT A MINIMUM, two (2) sealed tobacco tins, pouches, etc. of 50g each (or the equivalent volume of bulk tobacco in sealed condition), incurring costs for the present and shipping.
- Post to this thread when you have shipped your Secret Santa gift to your giftee.
- Post to this thread when you have received your gift from your Secret Santa. Even if you are going to wait until Christmas to open it, please post when it has arrived.
- Be happy with the gift of giving and not what you receive. This is the point of "The Briar Patch" Secret Santa Event. We take care of our own.
- Whenever you decide to open your gift, post pictures or at least a summary of the goodies you received from your Secret Santa to this thread.
- Feel free to post in this thread whenever the Christmas mood strikes.
- Participants outside the USA are welcome to signup. I will make every effort to match you with someone from your country to minimize your potential customs fees. If that is not possible, you agree to accept your gift package from another country and pay whatever customs fees may be charged to you.
- Postmark your Secret Santa gift no later than December 1, 2018. (Mail your package out by the 1st of December - NO EXCEPTIONS!) Yes, that only gives you two weeks from the time the signup ends until shipping is required so PLAN AHEAD.
- Father Christmas (me) has the right to add, alter or make changes to these rules if needed.
Signup instructions: - Copy the list and paste it to your signup post. Don't forget to add your name to the bottom of the list before clicking create thread.
- Send a private message to Simnettpratt with your full name, mailing address, email address, and what type of tobacco you prefer.
- By signing up you agree to the above rules and agree to be held accountable for said rules.
- If you are willing to ship outside of the USA, send me a private message indicating that you will do so.

If you need help getting in the Christmas spirit, here is the best movie adaptation of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. It's the 1951 Alistair Sim flick, Scrooge. One and a half hours.

Thanks for taking this on.
I'm outside the USA, but the last time I had a delivery that exceeded the customs rules, I was charged close to $250.

It is basically a blind swap between 2 parties who are determined by Father Christmas. Everyone who signs up both sends and receives something. simnettpratt handles all of the address swapping and logistics, etc. so you are in the dark. Sometimes participants do not want to be known.

Remember to send me your address (or I'll have you zap your Santa the address), and what you'd like and what you're sending, and I'll try to pair likes with gifts. It's fine to say Anything/I don't know - I'll randomize yer Santa!
