If you did a search for your location in the 'introduce yourself' section you might find others from there.
I'd do it for you, but I'm not au fait with the abbreviations etc.

I know this might not be what you want to hear, but the New York Pipe Club is very, very active. Connecticut is a small enough state, geographically, that nowhere is all that far from a park'n'ride to "The City." God knows the New York Pipe Club (NYPC) bunch would love to hear from you.
It's a 2 hour trip down to Manhattan, but most NYPC members are facing that. Even the Club President is traveling an hour. Most members come from much further out: tons from NJ, a fair number from Westchester county, and a greater number from Connecticut.
Despite living pretty close, I only attend time to time. In the last six months I've showed three times. Needless to say, I'm not a core contributor over at NYPC.

As mentioned, it is usually at the Soho Cigar bar. It's 15 or 20 minutes from Grand Central. Not a bad trip.
