I've no experience in this area. What makes a crumble cake preferable to a conventional ribbon cut?

I've no experience in this area. What makes a crumble cake preferable to a conventional ribbon cut? Looser than a plug and flakes, but compressed nonetheless...that pressing helps meld the varietals together......I will try to bring a few crumble cakes to the meeting on the 3rd for you to try out...it does pack easier and with less preparation than flakes and plug.

Free tobacco wasn't my goal, but I'll take it. Tobacco is like beer, I like both kinds: mine and yours.

Can’t wait to try all 3 of these.
From the early reviews, it seems they’re decent tobaccos, nothing to go crazy about.
We’ll see.

There have been mediocre blends (SPC Blends come to mind) that are just thrown together and put out there. It’s nice to see a big company like Sutliff take the time to put out a Crumble Kake, not 1 but 3!!! This might be a first for a company! Hopefully others will follow.

Those prices down south are shocking. I had no idea it had got that bad.

I'm excited for these because not only do I love so many of Sutliff's blends and pressed tobacco, they've stuck with one of my favorite things about Sutliff tobacco.. the price point.
There are so many tobaccos out there that I'll probably never try because of the inflated cost that tins bring to the table. It's nice to see someone rolling out some reasonably priced tins.

I've no experience in this area. What makes a crumble cake preferable to a conventional ribbon cut? crumble cakes aren't any more preferable to anything else, unless you prefer them. Pressing tobacco does marry the flavors of the blend but it also changes the profile of the tobacco. For the better? That's up to each individual smoker to decide.

The only.place that has then for sale(pre-order) right now is Tobacco Pipes and they've always had them listed at $11. It majorly sucks. I don't know why Sutliff decided to go with 1.5oz tins. It doesn't make much sense.
