So who's your favourite?
I grew up when Roger Moore was the current Bond. He's the real James Bond for me.
What about you?

Roger Moore and Pierce Brosnan are both too pretty. While Connery is the 'classic' Bond for me, I have to say Daniel Craig is the one I would least like to go up against. He's got more of the 'killer' in him than the others. I don't think he cares if he has a license or not!

I grew up with the Sean Connery James Bond era, plus my Mom & Dad met him on a flight to Vegas back in the early 70’s and the three of them hung around Vegas for almost a week. Both my Dad and Sean Connery were high rollers. Later known as Sir Sean Connery. My parents had a wonderful time and said he stopped to talk with many people, but when having dinner he liked his privacy.

My Mom thought the world of him and for my Dad to say “ he’s one of the kindest and warmest people I’ve ever known “! That’s saying a lot...my Dad NEVER complimented anyone!!!

To quote him from a different role, “There can be only one”, and that is Sean Connery.

George Lazenby, Barry Nelson second. Though On Her Majesty's Secret Service is one of my favorite Bond films, the writing was totally different. He looked more like the Bond I imagined reading the books. Though I have seen and purchased every Bond film over and over, from VHS to DVD, I don't care for Daniel Craig. Bond with blond hair does not work for me. I also can't get over Craig playing a whining cokehead in Road to Perdition. Roger Moore, whom I did like, was a tad smarmy. I picked Brosnan for the part long before he got it, and though was better than average, seemed a little weak. Timothy Dalton: If anyone looks at the restored DVD or Blu-Ray, his interpretation of Bond holds up really well. Better than when first seen. Now that you can look back at him in view of over half a dozen Bonds he's in the better half. Sean: Okay, yeah, he is the image of the Film Bond. Just not Lazenby. Niven? Every time he takes a part played by someone else he weakens the nation. He ruined the Scarlet Pimpernel And then there's Barry Nelson... Dark Horse candidate. Write-in on this poll... I can say no more

Sean Connery for me, and he also looks closest to the description in the Fleming novels.

It was a hard call, but I laid my vote for Brosnan. I'm sorry, but he was a great Bond, best since Connery. And I love the tank chase in Goldeneye!

Nothing wrong with Pierce. Wish he had the role when he was a bit younger

...for the record, Ian Fleming's original description of 007's physical appearance was that of Hoagy Carmichael...

Sean Connery...hands down. To me, he was what Ian Fleming had in mind when he wrote those fabulous books.

Sean Connery. Everyone else is an imposter.
It is an interesting casting problem as Bond must be suave and deadly with authority. Too many of the more recent Bonds just do not radiate menace when needed.
The latest one has a thug quality for snapping bones but is not posh enough. He looks like a working class guy in a monkey suit.
Moore is smooth but not a killer. He was fine as The Saint years ago but The Saint is all style and little action.
Brosnan is witty and polished but also not menacing.
Don't know anything about Lazenby. Never saw his movies.
Connery always seemed like he can snap on a moment's notice and take out an eye. Yours, not his.
I thought Clive Owen might have made a good Bond.

Sean Connery as Zardoz...the dude Rocks! Kind of a toss up for me, I like Roger Moore and I like Sean Connery. Sean Connery was left in too long with younger female counterparts...I think as we geezerize we want to say, yeah, i still got it, but Moore started losing the schizz as he got older. Connery got out when the getting was good...I cant blame turning down a big payoff though...given the opportunity I would chase pu$$y Galore in a wheelchair for the paycheck....probably for street cred too.

I really like Sean Connery as Bond but I grew up with Roger Moore. I loved him as the Saint as well. Although I do think Sean could kick Roger's butt I have to admit.
