Currently smoking Balkan Sasieni in my new to me unsmoked Peterson Shannon 150 bulldog with a straight vulcanite stem. The stem is carbonized but for 50 I couldn't pass it up.
I had a great long weekend so far - first on Thursday night over at the transallegheny lunatic asylum. And then Fleetwood Mac put on an excellent show last night.
I smoked a Fuente Maduro 858 on the way to pick up my cannabis prescription. Now I'm home with my new pipe. All of the food I need is in the house. Ready for a nice quiet weekend with my cat and my cellar.

I'm smoking some Holger Danske Original Mild Orange in my MM Apple Diplomat with a Forever Stem with a glass of ice water. I was looking for something different so I pull this jar out of the drawer. I bought this tobacco quite a while ago. David was smoking it and singing its praises so, I thought I'd give it a try. I smoked a little and thought it was ok but nothing special, so I jarred it up, put it away and kind of forgot about it. I opened the jar and smelled it. I first noticed plums and then a subtle orange. Nice. When I lit it up it had a very mild orange taste that faded to the background. The predominant flavor surprised me. It was a nutty mocha coffee with the subtle orange kind of hanging around. I found that I enjoyed it quite a bit. Either my palate or my tastes have changed since I last smoked this blend because I enjoyed it quite a bit. I don't think I would smoke this all day, but it is a great change of pace and certainly will not sit as long before I reach for it again.
