Waiting for the installers to come put in my new countertops, and looking at my Christmas movie collection on Plex to see what I may be missing. My mind decided to chase the rabbit down the hole, and I started thinking about Christmas blends. McClelland used to be my source for Christmas blends, but with their going the way of the dodo, where do I go now? I have some of the C&D blends coming in, but I wanted to see what else may be out there. I have been underwhelmed by C&D Christmas blends in the past. I am also ordering some of the Figgy Pudding from The Country Squire to try.
If you are not a fan of Christmas aromatics, what other blends make you think of Christmas?

Peterson usually offers a Christmas blend. Then tin art is always interesting.

ParkLane Tobacconist Christmas Kake is an excellent blend and the tin is done up well with extra holiday stickers.

I've never tried a Peterson Christmas blend. The Blend of the Month for December is Solani Festival. I'm hoping that is slightly Christmassy.

I really enjoy C&D Corn Cob Pipe and a Button Nose. That was their 2016 Christmas Blend and probably doesn't help much since it is no longer available. I was just looking at Figgy Pudding today. Would love to hear what you think of it if you decide to buy some.

Sigh. I always looked forward to the yearly Christmas Cheer. There are only three seasonal tobaccos that I ever cared much for, and that was one.
I know more than a few swear by Boswell's Christmas Cookie. Maybe I'll give that a shot this year.

First made in β93 as a Wilke Christmas blend is their Rumcake. It became so popular the blend is still available year round......itβs that good. If labels are so important to you.....make your own holiday scenes and stickβem on your jar. Youβll really enjoy this fine blendπππ

I've smoked a half of a tin of the new C&D blend Jolly Old St. Nicholas (I wish they would have shortened the name) and I liked it enough to buy two more tins. I like Rattray's Exotic Passion as a holiday blend as well as the Rattray's Winter Blends for 2016 and 2017. I am hoping my order of Winter Blend 2018 actually comes in.
Kohlhase & Kopp's Winter Blends are good holiday aromatics as in the Peterson's Holiday Seasons.
Personally, I could take or leave the McClelland's Christmas Cheer but then I'm not that into straight Virginias. I will miss Holiday Spirit after I open and smoke the tin in my cellar.

Every Christmas for years and years my brothers and I would get my father a 14 oz orange "paint can" of Brindley's Mixture. We would wrap it up in all kinds of creative ways so while Dad could guess, he couldn't be sure.
Once we duct taped the empty wrapping paper dowel to the can, filled the dowel with Christmas candy, and wrapped the whole bulky "golf club" and put it under the tree.

Unles it's something with "Christmassy" flavors like rum and egg nog, it's all in the mind. Christmas Cheer is just a straight VA, Christmas Cookie is a vanilla aro... Still fun to smoke them on the day in a Christmas pipe, but if I feel like a non-themed blend I'll just rename it in my mind: Christmas Acadian Perique, Christmas Penzance, or Christmas Barbados Plantation!

Are there no blends that have a cinnamon kick to them?

Are there no blends that have a cinnamon kick to them? Golden Days of Yore has a mix of mulling spices, including cinnamon. Also, Sleepy Hollow comes to mind, if Strauss is still making it. If you want to try the cheep aromatic side of things, Sutliff makes a mulled wine blend, and a pumpkin spice blend. Both are pretty good in small doses, but like many cheap aromatics they lose a lot of flavor midway through a bowl. I haven't tried it, but Sutliff also makes Cinnamon Delight.

Figgy Pudding is on the way from The Country Squire. As I've never had figgy pudding, I will not be able to tell if it brings of memories of Christmas past. Plus, as Laphroaig and Tabasco sauce have essentially destroyed my taste buds, my review will be either "Yummy and buying more" or "Not a fan." I hope it helps.

Peterson's Holiday Season-2016 was a pretty good blend...their annual blend for Christmas season.

Figgy pudding is really close to a fruitcake. In the same vein. Same spices, etc.

I've never tried a Peterson Christmas blend. The Blend of the Month for December is Solani Festival. I'm hoping that is slightly Christmassy. I hope so too! It was the only one I could find available to everyone that had some sort of a holiday-esque description. Dark fruits, red wine, etc.

I have more respect for the marketing now - I thought they were just names. Glad to hear they're good blends.
