All hand files and dremel. Just brought home a lathe so hopefully some better work coming soon! Partially rusticated.

Very nicely done, I like the way you finished the shank. Extremely different with class. Keep up the great work and thanks for posting.

That's great. I've only got a dremel, but I don't think I could do anything like that.
Do you buff with it too?

Nice looking pipe...for future reference...you might want a shot of the button on the stem...that is what many are looking to see in addition to the actual pipe configurations...like depth of chamber, dimensions of the pipe (size), group size, etc.

Very interesting shape. If you hadn't stated the contrary, I would have been sure that there was some lathe work going on there.

Very cool. I’ve yet to find the confidence to carve one myself.

Did you use the dremel for the stem too, shuli?

Did you use the dremel for the stem too, shuli? The stem is injection molded. I sand and file it and bend it. Now that I have the lathe, I will be doing custom.

If you haven't seen it, the knife scraping method for stem shaping after roughing is a great technique. It removes a good amount of material too. I'm just starting myself, and picked the technique up on a YouTube video. I use and old pocket knife.
