My granddaughter drove down Nova Southeastern University today and we had a fine lunch at the local Longhorn restaurant. I was very glad to spend some time with her as she's swamped with the impending finals and I hadn't seen her in quite a while, except for Thanksgiving last. Right now I'm back home and finally getting around to break in a Savinelli Punto Oro Classic 804ks, with starting with a bowlful of MacBaren Golden Extra.

Enjoyed a tasty spaghetti and meatballs lunch and am now smoking Peretti No. 8 Slice in a 1979 brown grain etched Lane Era Charatan's Make medium bend calabash shape 483DC with a black vulcanite double comfort stem. A bottle of Sierra Mist made with real sugar is my drink. Watching The Lone Ranger. Hopefully not the Johnny Depp movie? Not that crap. I was watching the original TV series.
Part way through this bowl of Bald Headed Teacher in a medium brown. smooth octagonal paneled bowl and shank, medium bend 2016 Tim West Book Keeper 6 with a black acrylic saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my evening drink on this rainy day. Watching the original Star Trek TV series.

Getting ready to smoke some Peretti's Tashkent in a Savinelli Trevi 320 Rustic. Trader Joe's coffee to drink. Then time to reload some cartridges. Got sidetracked from the Tashkent. Enjoying it now in an R.C. Sands rustic bent billiard. Great tobacco for sure.

Sitting on the front porch smoking Scotty's Trout Stream listening to the rain. Jarred up loose tobac in Mason jars and made labels. 3/8 of the top bookshelf is tins and 3/8 is now Mason jars and I still have 3 traveldors filled with micelanous zip lock bags of tobac. Did jar up an experiment blend of 4 parts 515 RC-1 and 3 parts perique. Let that meld for 6 months or more and see what happens

Fine looking pipe, Irminsul...love me some Canadians! War Horse Bar in a small Grabow Grand Duke pot that I had to top just recently.

I spent the morning fighting with fuses and filaments. Then, this afternoon, I accompanied the Lady of the Manor to a Christmas play put on by several local retail establishments. She played the role of a benevolent millionairess, while I gave a stand up performance as her pet pack mule. Now, it’s time for Ash & Ember’s Mango McFly in a mid-40s D&P Pipe Works Spartan v3. Gotta say, this is my favorite part of the day so far.

I’m a few minutes into my final (likely) pipe of the day: 2011 Esoterica Stonehaven in a 2017 Don Warren freehand sitter with a plateau rim and butterscotch acrylic stem.

Kendal Cream in an early Savinelli "Bing's Favorite." This pipe seems more appropriately proportioned to the shape than the current offering. Not certain how old it is. Tea brewing.

Aged Solani Burley flake in a '52 Dunhill Tanshell...watching Manhunters.
Kinda like "cops" but it is about the US Marshall's service in NYC.
