OK, I’ll play. But this is only when I’m feeling grumpy, which is almost never. (Ha!)  That Beret works for you! Not many people in the USA can wear one and look like it was meant to be there. Thanks. As much as I’ve hung around west-coast Ireland, and the islands, I learned quickly about proper headgear. The Irish there were their flat caps or a watch cap or the Greek fisherman’s cap. I found a beret (actually an ixtapa, as this one is Basque, or boina as the non-Basque Spanish call it) to be the very best— highly water resistant, warm even if wet, can be pulled down over the ears in a wind, easy to slip into a pocket. Perfect! No Irishman would wear a beret as they associate them with the French, whom they despise. But when told it is NOT a beret but an ixtapa and is Basque, they warm up a bit. They like the Basque, for obvious reasons. They never wore them, but accepted mine. |

Sad seeing some that left the patch, but able to figure out who they were by the responses.

while waiting for the paper, went thru entire thread, seen many pics were gotten rid of, must be some tech thing. Offer the same, come here, bring your own camera, neither of mine work. Take all you want, pics of some of my pipes etc. I'm near Buffalo, NY, plenty snow still around there, none here. While here, stick one in the "avatar" box, no idea how to do any of that. Did enjoy pics of others. Probably last time I'll check out the thread, thanks to whomever posted same
