Money and brains don't seem to travel together a whole lot, do they? My son got a California wife that would be chomping at the ropes to get into that store.... she would swallow it hook line and sinker. I married a California girl that is the exact opposite, she would not let me spend more than $600 on a wedding ring, and when she lost it, she replaced it with a cheap band. She makes up for it in doctor bills though, thankfully I have really good insurance.

Payless is either currently in bankruptcy, or is heading there shortly. As there is always a 'sucker born every minute', this is a great marketing strategy. Not really that much different from all of the other 'Exclusive' brands that are in the same category, it's just that Payless lacks the expensive reputation.

I am not surprised in the least. Sounds like those $600 toilet seats.

Kinda like how Dunhill ( and now White Spot) has priced their pipes all these years that they were made by pipe firms in France !

That's fantastic, trailboss. I'm sure I can use that in a sermon at some point.

Someone once said, āA fool and his money are soon partedā. Charlieās post re-inforces this truth.
