Ever since Ron (rdpipes) started posting his pipes I've been wanting to get one. Well ... it's no longer a dream! The grain is amazing and the shape and size just called to me. Ron is super easy to work with, always keeps the communication lines open and makes one HELL of a pipe!

G'mornin' gents & All, the GRAND PRIX de GLOBE, is a humble common Queen Elizabeth ll Diamond Jubilee plate & a modest surprise selection of British tins of tobacco ( often only available in the UK). With Sparks permission, this champion of fools will receive the full honours for making the most posts on this thread of their different Holy Grail dream pipes. Again the Winner will be announced in the New Year 2017. Bye'All. This 100g. Of IllstedsOwn is the top booby prize in the grand winning fool piper of Xmas. Seasonal wishes all Ye fool pipers. Bonny days & nights folks !!! PS. I think I am winning (but do not forget this contest is democratic & I am not standing. as Grand Fool, may the biggest fool win gents & misses. ) PPS. This is nothing to do with politics ,( nor any sparks flying from horseplay to do with such political tomfoolery)

Stan, this is very generous of you. I rarely win anything. So I am tickled to say the least. I haven't started smoking again after my surgery, but will be able to take it up again in a couple of weeks. Between this surprise and Cobguy's generous gift of some Spice Cubes, I have a lot to look forward to. Thanks so much.
Don

G' evening sports, to keep it simple for this booby competition the Big Booby, myself & the committee have decided that this contest of twitters has died the death & has ended, but for the sake of the spirit of sportsmanship there are two miserable new booby prizes the Grand tin of Junk of Illsteds own & Britannia in the old junk tin for he who has made the most posts, & a draw of all entrants for the Britannia & Avro in the junk tin box, for your Christmas delight I will put some surprises in, don't be alarmed nothing dire...so the winners will be announced on Sunday when the Judging committee work out how to do a random draw by googling, merry Christmas, the winners can PM me & my nephew will hopefully bear the gifts openly through customs when the lawman returns to the states. Smugglers will be given to Trump to keelhaul etc. The avatar of John Wayne will guard all borders, so look out. Got the tin in the mail today. Smoked some of the contents already. The aroma on opening was glorious to say the least. Very nice of you to do this, Stan. You put the icing on the cake for me this Christmas. A good friend and I enjoyed a pipe together this afternoon, thanks to you. He, recovering from knee replacement and me from some internal surgery. A couple of old fogies enjoying the finer things......

Hi Don, I am glad you received the little prize, & have enjoyed some piping fellowship, I hope you & your friends surgery heals well & you have a happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year. Bye. PS, looking at my post you have quoted , it must have been a bad night, hi ! , I need to stick to the day job , & leave the gag writing to the professionals. A pal of mine is an international artist, & studied in America in his younger days, a good friend of Dale Chihuly, the glass blower, but he worked for a time in theatre & was adapt at remembering a huge number of jokes & telling them with some finesse, but it gets tiresome even for pro's..... I have a bizarre Month Python sense of humour at times, it does not always travel...
