Made another deep staging of myself. I named it because it made me think of a piece from one of my favorite musical suites, the Peer Gynt Suite--"in the hall of the mountain king." Chamber is 3 1/4 deep, 11/16 dia, and it's 8 inches long, about 1 1/4 inch bowl dia. Made a convertible length stem, but I'll probably smoke it full length most of the time.

Beautiful pipe, Sir....and with a convertible stem...could be made into a churchwarden, I would assume.

That is nice. Trying to decide how I would fold and stuff flake tobacco in there. I suppose the "fold" part would not be necessary.

Good to see you back to making stuff! 3 pipes in the last few weeks! Good lookers, no less! I love the bowl/stummel on this one. Trying to figure out the method to your madness isn't easy...

So this is what a basic billiard looks like after a few bottles of wine! LOL Nice work Steve, you are a craftsman/artist for sure.

A good pipe for smokers who don't like leftover tabac when they rubb a flake. Great job, Ace!
PS The gem you carved me has been delivering primo smokes. She's in heavy rotation till fully broken in.

Amazing that you can stand at the lathe after that much Vino! What a looker.... you really unleashed that Briar, well done. No problem at all -- I stand at the lathe before the vino. Jeez, just because I have a half bottle (or so) with dinner you guys think I'm a dipsomaniac

Beautiful Pipe..I don't know how you came up with the idea for it. From the hall of the mountain king of course actually, a good deal of of my inspiration comes from the old Pibe Dan catalog, and variations thereof.

Thank you gents for your appreciation. Coming from such a discriminating bunch is gratifying. Got a couple more in the works, just need to keep up my motivation and dodge the holiday honey dos.

Super concept and execution! I've been smoking my stacks more recently.
Peer Gynt is a favorite. Funnily enough, an advert just came on which had an excerpt from Halls of the Mountain King!

Great looking pipe! I'd have to be a stud hoss (which excludes me) to smoke that deep bowl

Good to see you crafting again. That's another super stack. You won't even need to fold and stuff... Just stuff.

Nicely done but one dumb question, HOW DO YOU LOAD THAT THING and how long does it take to smoke a bowl?

Nicely done but one dumb question, HOW DO YOU LOAD THAT THING and how long does it take to smoke a bowl? Just stuff the tobac in with a tamper and have at it. Of course, the 3 step pack becomes the 5 step pack . I haven't loaded a full bowl yet, but I have another the same size and it lasts about an hour and a quarter.
