Have a old feller at work I've been giving corn cobs an tobacco too. We sit out on our lunch break an drink coffee an puff on what ever I bring that day. Well to keep it short, he brought these in an tried to give them to me an I said I couldn't except them for what I did for him. I enjoyed our time together an didn't want compensation for it.
Well a tear rolled down his cheek an needless to say they followed me home. They are: Savinelli Punto Oro 8002 Roberto FUMED 904
Do you know if they are worth sending them off to be cleaned up. Good smokers I mean. I'll never sale them. Just want a little knowledge about them until I can dig into them. Thanks

Nice pipes...particularly that Canadian. I think I would re-stain them...something a little more lively.

I have that same Punto Oro, and I don't think that you can buy a better pipe.

That Canadian looks like a perfectly toasted marshmallow (at least on my PC it does).
Very nice of him.

Nice story! Great gifts, fine pipes. I'd also spruce up the color of the Canadian. And I like my marshmallows toasted much darker- carbonized if you will. A rich dark hue would do....

Savs are hot right now on the bay. I am not even sure of a number they are moving so well.

Those are two great looking pipes, scrooge. And I'm glad someone was able to pass on to you what you have done to so many here at the patch. Have you never tried cleaning a pipe yourself or are you wanting a more professional job done on them?

Great looking pipes Scrooge. IMO every pipe that smokes well is worth sending off for a good clean up. If they're not in terrible condition, I'd do them myself.

It's karma, scrooge ... you're a hell of a good guy... DITTO I would get them cleaned, but keep the character of where they are now. Clearly your friend is deeply touched by your own generosity as am I, I believe you are deserving of such a fine thoughtful gift.Smoke Well Brother.

It all comes around! Great story, and a couple of pretty sweet pipes in my humble opinion. Digging that savinelli. May they be cleaned and bring you great enjoyment and fond memories!

Those are two great looking pipes, scrooge . And I'm glad someone was able to pass on to you what you have done to so many here at the patch. Have you never tried cleaning a pipe yourself or are you wanting a more professional job done on them? I can make them sanitized an get the stems pretty much black an most of the dirt off the briar. But Dave G. has spoiled me big time. Nothing like a shiney new looking pipe. To me. We'll see
Thanks all for the kind words an suggestions.
