So I finally stopped into the motorcycle shop on the Square the other day. The guy has everything in there. A bunch of single cylinder Ducatis, a BMW R60/5, R60/6, K75, K100, Kawasaki 500 2 stroke, pre-unit and post unit Triumphs, BSA Thunderbolt and Rocket, Honda Valarie, Kawasaki Z1, sandcast Honda 750s, Vespa, Silverwing, and so much more. He also does not have anyone to talk to. I had stopped on the way back from a quick trip to the store and my wife came looking for me. ππ

You know, I didn't ask, but I think that they might be just his collection. I guess he would sell a couple just to keep his wife happy. I only saw 1/3 of the shop. Lord only knows what was behind the old Beetle. Ihhad ahhankering fortthat one myself.

Fairly new. Introduced some years ago. [/u][/quote] I haven't been keeping up. Have you seen what BMW has done with the BMW R18? They tried to beat Harley Davidson several years ago with a beautiful R1200C that had plenty of power and rode and handled like a dream but they didn't sell. Now they have a bike that has a rougher engine than the Harley, worse suspension and handling, trying to beat Harley at their own game. It looks really good though. Thing is that Harley buyers don't care. They don't want a motorcycle, they want a Harley. I still like the RE Himalayan a lot, but I am probably done with 2 wheelers.

I prefer bikes to be light, maneuverable and compact. 750cc is about right. I wish this R.E. was 750 like the originals. 650 is fine. A little bigger and heavier than the BSAs, Triumph, Matchless 650s of yore owing to oil cooling radiators, electric start and alternators. Still fairly nimble and quick. The Youtube videos of riding in the UK and fun to watch and probably as close as I will get to riding one.

Nice loop through Sedona this week: I am not being critical of those big cruisers just do not understand how they get picked up if the drop over?

Nice loop through Sedona this week: I am not being critical of those big cruisers just do not understand how they get picked up if the drop over? They don't fall all the way over, just about 50 degrees. I picked up my 95 5 times in one day. It was a lot easier than when I had my Magna on top of me in the ditch.

First thing I did when I got my Valkyrie is lay it down and backed up to it and stood it up. Practiced a couple times, once you get the trick itβs not so hard.

Last night, I went out to the bike after work and the cover was missing. Security reviewed the camera footage and discovered that the helicopter had come in fast and low and sucked it right off the bike. It's nowhere to be found but I did contact the church next door to have them keep an eye out for it.

The only sensible thing to do is buy new hard side saddles attached to new bike. By the time you price the replacement lid and getting it painted the plan will make perfect sense.

That Royal Enfield INT 650 is the exact bike I want. You may be interested to know about a week ago now, an INT 650 set the Bonneville Salt Flat record for the fastest stock 650 in the world, at 132mph.

Still without after the last one ended up a lemon. But when the time comes, my eye is pretty fixed on the new 750 Katana.
