So I have a 400 gram bag of 15 year old aromatic tobacco that was gifted to me. A little dried out but not horrible. So I re-hydrated just a little and gave it a smoke. The tobacco in the bag still has a little bit of the aroma to it. But when smoking it there is nothing, no tobacco flavor/any flavor and no room note other than smoke. So the question is what can be done with 400 grams of black Cavendish that has lost it's everything? Suggestions?

Soak it with rum and let it dry. Mix it with some tobacco you don't like to tone down the flavor.

Once the oils of the leaf are ruined, there isn't really anything to salvage. So I've read on here. I could be wrong. I hope so.

LorAnn's Vanilla butternut flavor oil would be very nice to add to the tobacco after the hydration.
1 dram to 4 oz of cube cut burley is what i use..that is a good starting place..YMMV

I can attest to crapgame and his talents. I have smoked some fine baccy created by Mike. I wouldn't toss it but would create something with it.

ha! I used to use that flavor in a vape liquid I made. That, an apple one, a red oak one, and one more I forget. That was like 6 years ago. I called it "I'rnwood".

I wouldn't give up on it yet either. Add the rum (a sweet spiced rum would be my choice), vanilla, or both. Mike's vanilla butternut flavored oil sounds good too.

I concur with the above... But maybe try it in small amounts in case you don't like what you've tried. That way you can try something else.

Yo adda - another approach would be to add some monster blend like Tambolaka, or one of the Brit ropes. Or a Lakeland. These big flavored things are hard to smoke on their own.

Well with 400 grams I guess I can try several attempts with different flavors and mixes. Should be a fun experiment.

I might doctor it up with a little black XX rope minced into it.
