Good {honest} review man !! Been meaning to try JC #1 but , especially the Smyrna ... Maybe 1 & 2 too ?! P&C has a package of JC #1, #1&2, Smyrna, Bengal Slices and War Horse. A great selection. It was one of the first tin samples I got when I started and enjoy them all.

At the time I wasn't looking at savings I was trying to find different tobacco's to try. I picked up 4 different tin sampler packages and then found this forum. Saved me from a lot more miss and got more hits with what I choose.

On P&C's tin samplers, do you get the whole tin of each or is it just a smaller sample from each tin?
I am assuming the whole tin given the price but want to make sure as I have thought about pulling the trigger on a few.

You get the whole tin. I got the JC the MB 7 seas ,Davidoff luxury and the Brigadier Black duo Samplers. It was a nice range of different blends to get me started.

From the article referenced earlier, here is a blow up of the two tins. Smyrna is one of my favorites. Thanks, Russ, Dan and Simon. And, yes, the embossing on the tin is very nice. Especially without the damned warning label!

I think they are all good smokes, that is if you enjoy various interpretations of Latakia blends. PS Cigarbid typically has all three in auction for any given week. Pay attention to the shipping rates, times and be patient, if you wish to achieve the best price.

Great review Atison; informative, interesting, and entertaining. Well written and well done.
Have you noticed that which beard oil/balm you use can affect the perceived flavors and scents of the tobacco you are smoking?

Have you noticed that which beard oil/balm you use can affect the perceived flavors and scents of the tobacco you are smoking? I don't notice them affecting the flavors while smoking quite as much (but I don't use heavily scented beard oils), but it definitely makes an impact on the beard note.
