Hey folks, I haven't bought a pipe for a good while.....I've got MM Cobs, a meer, a Peterson 999, quite a few Savinellis including 2 673KSs, a Radice Pure Rind Faux Bamboo, a Radice Morta Bent Billiard..yada..yada..yada. Gonna buy a pipe...new and unsmoked. My current plan...A Castello Sea Rock Rustication....I'd LOVE a 55, but perhaps a 65?? I've been looking online at what's to offer, no pots (55s) available currently that I can find. More to the point......any reason (ignoring the financial investment) that you would try to talk me out of it? ?? Have at it with recommendations. CW

Nope, I've admired the sea rocks myself. Though I like the Old Antiquari a bit more.

Recently downsized from approximately 90 briars to 12. No worries combined with my meers and cobs.

I would never try to dissuade anyone from buying a pipe unless I knew for certain there was a defect in the pipe being considered. Buy the pipe and enjoy it. It will only be the first of many.

Will you loose your house, car and/or wife? Will you end up on the street begging for pipe tobacco money? These are some of the questions that come to mind when considering buying a new pipe..😁 Q

JMO unless one has knowledge that the pipe being considered has a defect, then trying to dissuade someone from buying the pipe commits a “Crime Against Nature” and the guilty party should be forced to smoke at least 6 bowls of a mixture of Captain Black Grape and SG 1792 Flake. 🤮

I sure hope the folks at SG do not have a spy amongst us.😁

Tobacco for the pipes you have is a wiser investment at this juncture. That's my best shot.YMMV

You'll get no such support from me. Haha I am however of a like mind with psycholime. You can always find pipes, but tobacco comes and goes.

There are a lot of talented pipe makers around that could turn out an excellent commission for the same or less than a new Castello, that's my best shot
